Showed some promise when contesting two bumpers at Ayr this winter, the most recent of which came a week ago. Interesting runner.
Signs of promise in bumpers but a well beaten fifth at Kelso over hurdles last time out. Only beaten 14 1/2 lengths on his initial try over hurdles but likely to prefer better ground than he'll encounter here.
Well held on first three outings including when pulled up on hurdling debut at Kelso but stepped up markedly on that when third at a big price at Catterick when dropped in trip last time out. Drops in trip again here and that's far from certain to suit but interesting to see how he fares for a small yard.
Winner in France and Germany on the flat and showed promise on UK debut 12 months ago. Disappointing in the main since and makes his debut for his latest trainer off a near eight month absence here.
Winner of a three runner bumper at Hexham on heavy last year. Well beaten in all three hurdles outings though and needs to improve on what he's shown so far to figure here.
Well beaten at a big price on hurdling debut a month ago. Best form on the Flat came when twice winning on good ground in 2014 but sold cheaply last autumn and best watched at present.
Consistent sort who put a poor run at Huntingdon behind him when finishing third to a previous winner at Ludlow last time out. Listed placed bumper form 13 months ago also reads well and with an interesting jockey booking he looks set to go well again in this.
Has run to fair level of form in two hurdles outings to date finishing third behind a subsequent winner who is currently unbeaten rival when last seen in action a month ago. Triple winner on the flat back in june and should go well again though underfoot conditions may not be ideal in this.
Dual winner on the Flat in France, hard to know what he achieved in finishing runner-up to a previous winner in a four runner contest (odds-on favourite disappointed) at Newbury last month but he's related to some useful hurdlers and is an interesting contender.
Well held in all four Flat outings and the same story on three attempts hurdling, including in a hood the last twice. Likely to be more competitive in handicaps.
Forecasts
The Blue Bomber (5/4), Viserion (7/4), Zalvados (7/1), Charmant (15/2), Devils Water (25/1), Invictus (25/1), Bruichladdich (50/1), Stetchworth (100/1), Knocklayde (200/1), My Brown Eyed Girl (300/1)
THE BLUE BOMBER has been running well without getting his head in front including last time out at Ludlow. The soft ground he's forecast to encounter here is unlikely to inconvenience him and he sets the standard on form while the likelihood of him obtaining a soft lead is also a positive. Viserion can fill the second placed berth following a solid run at Leicester on his most recent start while Zalvados can build on the promise of his second on hurdling debut at Newbury by taking third here.
1. The Blue Bomber
2. Viserion
3. Zalvados
