2/2 over hurdles after wins at Fontwell and Plumpton in December and January scoring by decent margins on each occasion. Defied a penalty last time out to win going away by 11 lengths and has to give weight away all round on this occasion. Looks as though he'll be suited by a test of stamina and this trip should suit him ideally.

Won at Exeter on his hurdling debut in November jumping well and responding to pressure to win by eight lengths. Upped in trip and grade for his next start at Cheltenham when finishing last of six in a race that has produced subsequent winners. Back to calmer waters for his last start but failed to concede a penalty against a useful sort.

Showed some useful form in bumpers most notably when winning at Thurles and then finishing a sound sixth in a Grade 2 at Aintree. Well fancied and showed a lot of promise when finishing fourth on his hurdles debut in a strong heat at Newbury on his second run for the Harry Fry yard.

Placed on both his starts in point-to-points and showed up well at Market Rasen in his only bumper start. Showed plenty of improvement on his hurdles debut when fifth at Hereford last time out in a race where the second has win subsequently.

Just had the one start so far in bumpers and makes his hurdles debut here. Actually shaped far better than his finishing position at Uttoxeter and capable of better in time given that display.

Took three attempts to win in Irish point-to-points but has gradually improved over hurdles. Second in last two starts at Exeter running into two decent types from the Harry Fry yard in each occasion and given that one of those was the well-fancied for Cheltenham Neon Wolf he's entitled to go well here.

Half-brother to bumper winner/fair hurdler Caius Marcius. Well held on both his starts over hurdles and never looked to be travelling last time out on heavy ground at Ayr.

Forecasts

Any Drama (9/4), Anchor Man (5/2), Bastien (7/2), Coole Cody (11/2), Bally Gilbert (8/1), Kayf Adventure (20/1), Cake de L'Isle (100/1), Petite Ganache (150/1)

Verdict

Quite a few would have claims here and this contest looks a very strong one for the track. Both Bastienand Anchor Man have winning hurdles form to their name but they both have to give weight away to the field that contains some useful types. ANY DRAMA has some strong bumper form and shaped very well on his hurdles debut at Newbury when very well backed and he may well be able to a step forward here for a yard that is going well at the moment. Coole Cody and Kayf Adventure add further strength in depth to the race that pair having clashed behind the very useful Neon Wolf last time out although Kayf Adventure may well be able to reverse that form with a run under his belt. 1. Any Drama 2. Anchor Man 3. Kayf Adventure
