Compadre has always looked as though he could be much better than this level but his failure to settle has undermined his chances so far although a strongly run handicap may suit him far better than the novice hurdles he has been running in. Sharp Response will need respecting if he turns out again while Sensible Simpson should be watched in the market on his handicap debut.
