Penalised for a ready success in a 2m maiden hurdle at Huntingdon in mid January. Similar ground (Good to Soft) is likely with rain forecast and being by Yeats, this extra distance (particularly at a sharp track like this one) shouldn't be a problem. Top rated (134).
Has plenty of experience, but remains a maiden after five runs (two over hurdles). Faced a tough task on hurdles debut at Kelso against Mount Mews, and seemed to be bogged down in deep ground last time back at that same Borders venue. Up in trip and faces a tough task.
A two time point-to-point runner up in Ireland prior to joining these connections in May 2016 for £54,000. He has shown promise in both starts over hurdles, giving both age and experience away to Another Bill over 2m6f at Kelso in November (beaten 10 lengths), and latterly when dropped back to just in excess of this trip in a Doncaster maiden hurdle when runner up to the Nicky Henderson trained Lough Derg Farmer.
Showed a determined attitude when landing a Soft ground Wincanton bumper in the spring on his sole start in that sphere before going hurdling this season. Travelled well for the majority of his hurdles debut at Aintree in November (2m4f) before folding up under pressure from the last to go down by three lengths to Geordie Des Champs, and produced a similar tame finish dropped in trip at Taunton later that month when going down to Misterton. Needs to show a shade more to down Burbank.
AW regular, and a runner up in a 2m Class 6 handicap at Newcastle in December. Recent hurdles debut at this track (2m Good) wasn't an encouraging one, and well out of her depth seeking minor place prize money.

Winningtry swerved an engagement at Leicester on Wednesday, and heads North with a few question marks as to exactly what he'll find at the business end of the race following his debut runs over hurdles. Tree of Liberty is reliable and stays well, but lacks the potential of BURBANK. Nicky Henderson has a line with Tree of Liberty through Lough Derg Farmer, and whilst it was only a maiden hurdle that this gelding won at Huntingdon, he looked to have a reasonable future in front of him, and he should be well suited by this step up in trip.
