Useful hurdler/chaser in France before changing hands for £110,000. Promising second behind Robinshill at Huntingdon on British debut and is yard's sole long distance raider on today's card. Respected.

Landed a gamble when winning last season's Fred Winter at Cheltenham and added to his tally at Chepstow in October, but twice well-held at Ascot since. More needed now.

Brilliantly-placed to win six times in the north in the space of 11 months but handicapper has held sway for the last year or so. Dropped 4lb for another lacklustre effort at Kelso last month, however.

Three wins from 10 hurdle starts and proved a poor Cheltenham display all wrong by finishing a close-up third behind Superb Story over C&D last month. Looks a player despite 2lb rise.

Dominada41
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Megan Carberry(5)| T: B Ellison| OR:  131
9/1
Three-time Flat winner who has taken well to hurdling, winning three of his last four starts under today's rider. Lot to like about the way he decisively made all over 2m3f here last time and 11lb rise not unjustified.

Unusually won a Bumper before going on two win Flat races and he looked a nice hurdling recruit when scoring at Leicester in December. Just edged out by Bandsman in novice event at Market Rasen next time and opening mark looks fair here with yard in terrific form.

Has yet to fulfil the promise of a taking debut Bumper success but sure to win races over hurdles before long on the evidence of his handicap debut at Kempton, where he was an unlucky second to Bigmarte. Raised 3lb but a major player.

Deepsandt34

Ended a lengthy losing run with a battling success in the mud at Haydock recently. Raised 6lb for that and, even if that race hasn't taken its toll, he looks vulnerable to improvers.

Cool Sky37
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-1| J: Lorcan Murtagh(7)| T: Ian Williams| OR:  118
9/1
Multiple Flat/hurdles winner who has been knocking at the door this season, most recently when chasing home River Frost at Kempton. Capable of making presence felt once again.

Great Fighterp26
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-0| J: Henry Brooke| T: J S Goldie| OR:  117
22/1
A bit of a hit-or-miss performer who has been out of luck since winning at Hexham 12 runs back. Not disgraced in third behind Project Bluebook over C&D last time but not hard to overlook.

Forecasts

Drumcliff (2/1), Diego Du Charmil (5/1), London Prize (5/1), Dominada (9/1), Traditional Dancer (9/1), Cool Sky (9/1), Optimus Prime (12/1), Great Fighter (22/1), Aristo Du Plessis (22/1), Deepsand (28/1)

Verdict

Dominada is absolutely thriving under Megan Carberry at present and the pair are bound to have their supporters once again whilst it can only be a matter of time before Harry Fry's Drumcliff opens his account over hurdles judged by a slightly unlucky defeat at Kempton recently. Today could easily be the day but, if there is to be a fly in the ointment, it may be Dan Skelton's £110,000 French recruit OPTIMUS PRIME who showed a lot of promise on his British debut at Huntingdon, shaping as though this sharp track would play to his strengths. 1. Optimus Prime 2. Drumcliff 3. London Prize
