Struggled on most recent visit here last month, travelling in rear and unable to pick up in the home straight. Looks held by the handicapper for now.
Six-year-old has a fair strike rate on the AW and while he's been struggling of late, including against some of these rivals, it's dangerous to write him off.
War Front gelding saw his winning sequence halted around here last Friday when unable to quicken having travelled well into the race.
Ex-British trained runner is making his first appearance for this trainer, was out of form when last seen at Lingfield in March and has fitness to prove but does boast decent form on the track.
On really good terms with himself recently, hitting the frame all three runs here since C&D win in November, likely to be on the premises once more.
Winner here over 1m4f (Specific Gravity second) penultimate start but possibly not suited by drop to this trip last time out.
Closely matched with some of these, may reverse form with stablemate Udogo now back at this trip but behind Specific Gravity here three weeks ago. Has scope to reverse that form.
Twice gone close here recently, notably at this trip penultimate start and entitled to get involved again now dropped back in distance.
Remains a maiden after six starts on the AW, first for new trainer last month when finishing tenth of 14 behind Mainicin over C&D.
Forecasts
Song Of Love (7/2), Specific Gravity (4/1), Red Avenger (4/1), Udogo (6/1), Political Policy (8/1), Johann Bach (9/1), Brokopondo (10/1), Shalaman (10/1), Maknificent (12/1)
Stablemates Udogo and SONG OF LOVE renew rivalry in this, having both tasted victory here in recent times. This trip should favour the latter and with a notable jockey booking he's tipped to get back to winning ways. He'll have to find half-a-length with three time C&D Specific Gravity winner who finished ahead of him in second last month, but there could well be more to come from the five-year-old. Political Policy is dropping towards a mark that will make him dangerous while Red Avenger saw his winning sequence ended off this mark last time but should play a role once more. Brokopondo keeps knocking at the door and this looks the ideal trip for him to finally get in.
1. Song Of Love
2. Specific Gravity
3. Red Avenger
