Won a similar contest at Southwell in May from a 9lb lower mark and has been runner-up twice since off similar marks to today's. Still of interest now tried at this slightly different trip, although the forecast better ground leaves him with a little to prove.
2m 4f Southwell maiden hurdle winner (good) last March and ran well last time on his chase debut over a similar trip to this. 4lb rise for that defeat looks fair, with the fourth having since run well at Cheltenham over the weekend. Entitled to be thereabouts.
Won at Fakenham in December on just his second chase start and a 6lb rise looks fair enough. Jockey's claim more than nullifies that and with forecast conditions to suit he can again go very close.
C&D winner last time in a similar event (good) and up 5lb as a result. Consistency not a strong point, however, so could be worth taking on in his repeat bid.
9lb higher than when scoring at Market Rasen in November (3m, good) and after being thrashed last time, it looks as though the handicapper may have his measure for the moment.
Seems to handle most ground including that forecast today and handicapper beginning to relent after a couple of lengthy defeats that nonetheless saw him finish in the frame. Interesting over this trip and far from ruled out.
Rated 137 over hurdles two years ago, though clearly had his issues since then, racing only twice in 22 months. This represents another comeback, having been off for almost a year, though he has slipped to a handy mark if he is fit enough to do himself justice on his first start for new trainer.
First attempt over this far under rules, but did win a point-to-point, so there is hope that he will stay. Running reasonably well since scoring at Ludlow in the spring, though perhaps in need of a drop in the weights before he adds further success to his CV.
Sole success came here over hurdles (2m 4f, good) in December, though well beaten behind Bells 'n' Banjos on his chasing debut over C&D recently. Lovely jumping pedigree and every chance that he can put that run behind him this time.

Forecasts
Fingerontheswitch (3/1), Some Are Lucky (4/1), Crosspark (4/1), Tanarpino (9/2), Bells 'n' Banjos (15/2), Templehills (15/2), Dueling Banjos (10/1), Vicenzo Mio (10/1), Tjongejonge (12/1), Ten Sixty (12/1), Carningli (16/1), Flashjack (20/1)
There was plenty to like about how FINGERONTHESWITCH demolished his field at Wetherby last time and he is taken to defy a penalty and follow-up. Ten Sixty can begin to get the hang of chasing this time, while Some Are Lucky, Crosspark, Bells 'n' Banjos and Templehills are all likely to be vying for prize money in what is a competitive event.
1. Fingerontheswitch
2. Some Are Lucky
3. Templehills
