Poor form since finishing runner-up at Sandown on heavy ground 13 months ago. Has been contesting top handicaps of late but pulled up on his three most recent starts and likely best watched for the moment.
Successful in the Midlands Grand National on final start of last season, disappointing since finishing runner-up at Haydock in November, including at that track last time out but this represents a drop in class with expected ground conditions likely to suit.
In good form when last seen in the spring winning three of his last four starts including at Wetherby when last seen in action in april. Often front runs and likely to try and make all again here.
Sported first time blinkers when putting in a good performance to finish runner-up in a Grade 3 contest last month, is rated just 1lb higher than for his most recent success at Taunton last march and he looks a leading contender in this.
Victorious in a three runner event on his final outing of last season at Chepstow, disappointed when pulled up at Bangor on his return to action in December and has to put that disappointing effort behind him here.
Well held on most recent outing at Wetherby last month, won over this trip in an amateur riders contest in november. Represents a top yard though and a repeat of that Cheltenham running would see him go close in this.
Not beaten far on second outing for this yard since move from Ireland at Catterick last month. Handles most going but best efforts of late have been on ground quicker than he's likely to encounter here.
Completion at Cheltenham last month marked a step up on what he'd been achieving thus far this season with two non-completions to his name prior to that. Won on heavy in january last year and now just 3lbs higher than for that success, more needed here though.
Dual Welsh National winner but pulled up in the 2016 renewal of that contest, well held at Warwick last time out but a further drop in the weights leaves him just 1lb higher than for his most recent Welsh National success and his amateur jockey takes an additional 7lbs off.
CD winner here in october but struggled off his revised marks since and best recent form has come on ground quicker than he's set to encounter here.
Fell on his chasing debut at Wetherby in november and well held when making his handicap debut over fences at the same track last month. No obvious reason why he should take a hand in the finish here though ground conditions look likely to suit.
Forecasts
Goodtoknow (4/1), Mountainous (9/2), Belmount (11/2), Racing Pulse (8/1), What A Moment (9/1), Flashjack (9/1), Federici (11/1), Waldorf Salad (12/1), Streets Of Promise (16/1), Firebird Flyer (20/1), Aachen (28/1)
STREETS OF PROMISE can continue where she left off last season by making all to take this staying chase, she has been successful on three of her last four outings and and with the trip and ground conditions to suit she should prove hard to beat on her return to the track. A few moderate efforts has seen the classy Mountainous' handicap mark slide and he is taken to chase the mare home with Goodtoknow likely to run a solid race also providing the blinkers work for the second time in this.
1. Streets Of Promise
2. Mountainous
3. Goodtoknow
