Very difficult to get enthusiastic judging by what he has shown so far and has too many points of query to be forwarded as one to watch.
Fit from the Flat but is very modest under that code and reverts to the Jumping scene with an awful lot to prove; also worth remembering that he was beaten out of sight in bumper on his racecourse debut, so makes limited appeal this time around.
Needs to improve from his debut run to figure here; likely his yard will place him to good effect once get to the bottom of him, though.
Should handle the surface and has fair claims in this company on the pick of his form - a likely outsider at appealing for an each-way punt at least.
Has winning form on the Flat (rated 80 at his best) but needs to dramatically improve on his debut effort over hurdles at Bangor. He was readily brushed aside on that occasion and needs to show much more enthusiasm today.
Won a point-to-point back in the mists of time but showed nothing like that sort of ability when he returned from a long absence last time out.
Still very lightly raced and has better form that most (even though his form figures leave a bit to be desired). The drop in trip is in his favour and he has to make the shortlist in this modest event.
Showed promised in a bumper but has yet to show that he is truly in love with the jumping game so best watched for now.
Was having an off-day when he fell at Huntingdon on Boxing Day and needs to quickly banish that memory from his profile. He has gone well at this track in the past, so feasible the return to Southwell will prick his interest. He looks a risky option for win only purposes though.
Was a very disappointing 1/9 favourite last time out and does have a bit to prove about her willingness to knuckle down at the business end. That said, she held her own in mare-only bumpers and a couple of point-to-points, so has to merit a second look in this moderate heat.
Woeful record on the Flat and makes limited appeal for the switch in codes.
Won on the Flat for Andrew Balding and has already proved that two miles isn't an issue. He isn't the speediest of individuals, but that wouldn't necessarily be of too much concern in this company. Another to bear in mind if he is backed before the off.

All of these are on something of a retrieval mission so siding with SOMEWHERE TO BE isn’t without its associated risks. However, the dropping trip may be a good move him at this stage and he gets a tentative vote of confidence as the one to be on. Listen to The Man and Windy Writer are others to bear in mind for a small stakes interest if the market produces any negative hints about the selection in the build up.
