All three career wins have been on heavy ground at around 2m 4f and never in any form of headgear. That is not to say that the first-time visor can't do the trick, though of more concern has to be his stamina.

Both wins were over 2m 4f on soft, the latter from a 22lb higher mark way back in March 2015. Far too much to prove on recent evidence to be recommended here.

1-17 so far, so not many miles on the clock for this good ground Plumpton scorer last April. Well beaten both starts since, though has run well in defeat here on heavy before today.

A winner from 2m 3f up to 2m 6f in soft and heavy ground. Now back down to her last winning mark and with the yard's runners in tremendous form, she could go very close again.

Has failed to complete in four out of five appearances since winning for a second time on heavy ground over a similar trip at Plumpton just over a year ago. Had not been in red hot form in the build-up to that, so this veteran can't be ruled out just because of a poor recent record, especially now he is visored for the first-time and back on a good mark.

Veauce De Sivolat27
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-4| J: Tom Cannon| T: B Barr| OR:  76

Proved he stays three miles on heavy ground when winning a Taunton novices' hurdle three years ago, though despite the occasional decent run he has been on a relentless slide since then and others are readily preferred.

Came good at the 21st time of asking under rules over C&D (heavy) last time and the handicapper has given him every chance of repeating that feat with just a 1lb rise coming into this. Even so, always risky from a punting perspective taking horses of this ability to follow-up a win.

Lala's Sister21

Point-to-point winner who has shown very little to enthuse us in four starts under rules. Readily opposable.

0-27 career record, though has made the frame in two of his last three starts. Nonetheless very hard to fancy.

Forecasts

Burgess Dream (1/1), Veauce De Sivola (9/2), Midnight Mustang (8/1), Cheat The Cheater (8/1), Matrow's Lady (9/1), Ashford Wood (10/1), Over My Head (10/1), Spartilla (10/1), Lala's Sister (16/1), Supreme Bob (20/1), Roparta Avenue (25/1), According To Them (25/1)

Verdict

A dire contest and Neil Mulholland looks to have found a good opportunity to notch up another winner through MATROW'S LADY/b>, though we expect Cheat The Cheater to be very competitive with Richard Johnson on board again. In context there was little wrong with the win for Burgess Dream last time and with only a 1lb rise he clearly makes appeal again, though given how hard horses of such modest ability find it to back up a good run, we will take him on this time. 1. Matrow's Lady 2. Cheat The Cheater 3. Burgess Dream
