Multiple winner of good class events at Southwell over the seasons, but not seen since being well beaten at Chelmsford last April. Has a chance at the weights, but plenty to prove after layoff.
Very useful sort for John Ferguson on both the Flat and over hurdles, but not seen since taking a Class 1 handicap hurdle at Musselburgh almost two years ago. If new yard have him fit first time up, he has a great chance at the weights.
Has run respectably in two claimers since moving to Marco Botti, including a staying-on third here in January (form moderate) but mark is slipping and would have a better chance in a handicap. Plenty to do here.
No win on the card since December 2014 and tends to contest low-class handicaps these days. Unless the switch to Fibresand turns around his fortunes in a major way, he appears to have little chance here.
Does at least have a C&D win to his name when beating Marshgate Lane here in January, but is inconsistent and was last on latest start at Chelmsford, showing little. Eyeshields back on here may help his cause, as might the drop back to claiming company.

Both the main protagonists at the weights, Pearl Nation and Retrieve have questions to answer after layoffs, but they are the class acts of the field and are best in at the weights. Preference is just for Retrieve, who was making up into a quality hurdler for John Ferguson when last seen and if Jamie Osborne has him ready to go first time up, can take this. Pearl Nation represents powerful connections at Southwell, but the suspicion remains that he's better at seven furlongs. Regarde Moi is running well enough to get third.
