Strong Flavours Handicap Chase

Wasn't far behind the leader but looking held when he fell over C&D last time out; obviously needs to prove his well being but the quick return suggest all is well on that score. However, his previous form is a little patchy and he looks one to be wary of just now.

Raised just 4lb for winning a modest handicap over C&D at Plumpton's previous January meeting - he stayed on well in the closing stages on that occasion and seemed revitalised by the combination of blinkers and a tongue strap. He needs to post a career best effort but is holding his form well enough to suggest he may be capable of a tad more improvement

Posted some useful form in point-to-points but has been well beaten in each of his starts under rules. He may have more to offer but at the age of nine he needs to get his act together pretty soon before the obscurity of low-grade handicaps takes him in its grip.

Something of a course specialist and is back on a reasonable mark. However, this trip will stretch him to the limit and really needs to be on his A-game to last home.

Not the most straightforward of characters but has capitalised on numerous occasions when races have furled to suit his style of running. He likes to make the running but may struggle to dominate from start to finish judging by recent efforts.

Brushed aside by an in-form rival last time out, which exposed his lack of a change of gear when under pressure. However, his form figures since joining the professional ranks have been pretty consistent and he would be dangerous to rule out from the foot of the weights in a fairly modest heat.
