Unfancied in two starts for his current yard and has run accordingly; the reason may be that he is simply is a chaser in the making and needs more time; probably best watched for now.

Reverts to Jumps after an uninspiring spin on the AW at Lingfield earlier this month. However, he has failed to complete in two of his three attempts in this sector of racing. It is also a very time since we have seen him race under this code and looks opposable for that reason alone.

Won a couple of bumpers for Adrian Maguire in Ireland and was far from disgraced under the accumulative penalties when he was last seen out. A very interesting contender for a yard that is forging ahead at full steam; he is one to seriously consider in a race like this.

Lightly raced during his time in France and wasn't given too hard a time during his UK debut at Newbury recently. That outing will have taught him plenty and, as this looks a slightly easier race, he should be capable of giving the rest something to think about as he continues to adapt to his new surroundings.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: G Sheehan| T: W Greatrex
5/1
Won a Fakenham bumper last October but has seen a slight dip in form since being sent over hurdles. However, he is slowly learning his trade so may well find a suitable level in handicaps after this.

Never a factor on his first start for his new yard over C&D but is bred to get a lot further than this anyway; another long-term prospect who is more likely to come into his own when faced with a more demanding test of stamina.

Exposed as ordinary on the Flat and has a bit to prove now he switches codes. (Looks the stable's second string; also represented by Royal Hall.)

Limited appeal for such a test of stamina and pedigree - especially given the way he failed to get competitive when stepped up to 1m4f on the Flat. His stable did have a winner at Kempton last week but this fellow appears to have the odds stacked against him as he attempts to add to the tally.

Didn't really set the pulses racing on his debut at Wetherby - another that may be best watch just for now.

Forecasts

Oscars Boss (1/4), The Caller (5/1), Royal Hall (5/1), Clondaw Westie (16/1), Gregarious (18/1), Argyle (20/1), Faheem (25/1), Up The Navan Road (33/1), Fennann (66/1), Fishergate (100/1)

Verdict

A few interesting types come into competition today and it will be no surprise to see OSCARS BOSS primed and ready to make an impact over hurdles at the first time of asking. Royal Hall is the obvious danger and should be involved in the thick of the action, while the likes of The Caller and Up The Navan Road are going the right way and are both worth noting once they go into handicap company in due course. 1. Oscars Boss 2. Royal Hall 3. The Caller
