8/11
Dual bumper winner at Wetherby and Newbury (valuable event) and came back from a break to run well under a double penalty on his return at Ayr. Weighted to reverse form with Better Getalong after their tussle last time out and it should be close between those two again.

Horse silk
4/1
Flat-bred sort who won an Ayr bumper in early December showing good speed although that didn't look a strong bumper and more to do here under a penalty.
Cost 3.500 euros as a three-year-old. Dam, unraced but a half-sister to a bumper/hurdles winner in Green Light. Yard have only had one bumper winner from 20 runners in the last five years.

33/1
First foal by Westerner who shaped as if he would come on for the run on his debut run behind Silver Bullion. Jardine yard have a decent record in bumpers over the last five years with a 13% strike-rate and better could be expected from this one here with the debut experience under his belt.
Winner in point-to-points but well held on his bumper debut at Kelso finishing last of nine.
Sixth foal by Central Park and a half-brother to a modest chaser in Digg Whitaker. Stable in good form and probably punch above their weight in this sphere.
Fair form in two bumpers so far both of similar quality although didn't really improve on his debut second at Newcastle (outran his big odds) when fourth at Ayr last time. The Ayr race was probably a little stronger though and a stiffer test of stamina will see him in a better light as he's quite stoutly bred.
Cost 32,000 Euros as a three-year-old and has had three runs in point-to-points finishing fourth on his last start in that sphere. Just the one bumper winner from the yard this season and this looks a tough start under Rules.

100/1
Just the one run so far in bumpers at Newcastle when finishing eighth at Newcastle in December when he shaped well enough and hinted at some ability.

4/1
Interesting runner from a yard who do quite well in his sphere and have only had one runner at the track before and that also came in a bumper. Half-brother to bumper winner/useful hurdler Danali and respected on debut for a very capable stable with the Champion Jockey taking the ride.

Forecasts

Sam's Adventure (8/11), Better Getalong (3/1), Storm Nelson (4/1), Silver Bullion (4/1), Notnow Seamus (12/1), McGowan's Pass (20/1), Well Above Par (25/1), Bruichladdich (33/1), Big Bad Dream (40/1), Prince Florbury (100/1), Here Comes Hovis (100/1)

Verdict

Three C&D winners lock horns here with SAM’S ADVENTURE and Better Getalong resuming their head-to-head from last time out that saw the latter gain a narrow victory. This time around the former has the better of the weights with the latter and may well be able to level the score between the duo. Silver Bullion is the third C&D winner taking part although he looks to have a little more to do under a penalty for his win. Notnow Seamus has a little to find with the principals but should run another sound race and if there is one that could throw a spanner in the works then it could well be the Tom Lacey trained debutant Storm Nelson who has a decent pedigree and comes from a yard that need to be respected in this sphere especially with Richard Johnson taking the ride. 1. Sam's Adventure 2. Better Getalong 3. Storm Nelson
