Won an Irish point-to-point last April but is yet to translate that form to racing under rules. He has time on his side and may well be helped by the drop in trip; certainly one to note if the betting market hints at expectations of a big run.
Has posted only modest form in point-to-points and a couple of outings over hurdles; needs to start improving before too long and is best watched for the time being.
Never a factor at any stage at Taunton earlier in the moth and, despite being unexposed, he has yet to catch the eye as a long term prospect so may be best left to his own devices just for now.
Raced a little keenly last time out but made very good progress in the latter stages of the race. That piece of form is one of the most reliable yardsticks in this company and this fellow will be hard to beat if he backs up things up today.
No chance with one of Phillip Hobbs's hot-pots last time out but time may tell that he was far from disgraced in getting within 10L of No Comment. He represents a trainer who has his house in good order just now; so certainly one to consider in a weak race like this.
Posted a respectable effort at this course last November but he was below par when last seen out; so he comes back to Fontwell with a bit to prove and may have to settle for a minor role.
Very difficult to make a case for him after two poor efforts to date. Much more required now.
Very little sign of encouragement on his racecourse debut last time and needs to pull something out of the fire to get involved in the action this time around. His yard has been very quiet of late but it would be surprising if they were to spring a surprise with this fellow.
Forecasts
Potters Approach (5/4), Not Another Muddle (6/4), An Siltean (5/1), Brynmawr (8/1), Safe Harbour (14/1), Norse Da (100/1), Secret Sting (100/1), Avon Conquest (100/1)
This may boil down to a straight match between NOT ANOTHER MUDDLE and Potters Approach, who have both shaped with plenty of promise so far. The former showed a very likeable attitude last time out and may be too resilient if this develops into a scrap fr the line in testing ground. Safe Harbour appeals as the best of the rest.
1. Not Another Muddle
2. Potters Approach
3. Safe Harbour
