Struggled to find his feet over hurdles so far. Some of those performances were at a higher level than this and his form isn't as bad as some of the others, but still cannot be said to hold convincing claims.

Flat import with no notable form in either maidens, or, most recently, a handicap. That last effort came only 39 days ago, however, so at least he'll be race fit, but he'll need to relish the switch to hurdles to have a say here.

Was shaping up to be a decent performer last season including when winning a bumper and being brought down three out when still in with a chance in a race won by Altior. Did not run well on return after a break of a year, but has a chance if back to his best.

Winner on the Flat in France for Andre Fabre, and shaped well enough on hurdles debut at Catterick earlier in the month. That was his first run for almost a year and he faced more talented opponents then then than today. Leading contender.
Took a step forward on second start over hurdles at Ffos Las last time when he probably appreciated the deeper ground. This is easier and with conditions due to be to his liking again, he has one of the better chances.

Twice-raced on the Flat prior to a four year break after which he has struggled to be competitive over hurdles. Looks set for a minor role once again.

Finished second in a bumper on racecourse debut before struggling to get involved at the finish in his next appearance. Was a little green that day and can come on for the run, but will probably struggle against the best of these.
Maiden winner on the Flat, and ran some nice races in that sphere. The likelier of the two newcomers for sure, and worth a check in the market.

Struggled on all starts so far. Though this is probably the easiest of his assignments to date, marked improvement would be required for him to be competitive.

Has shown next to nothing in two bumpers and then maiden/novice hurdles. First time cheekpieces will have to bring about a revolution and then some for him to have a chance.

Bumper winner in the mud at Warwick before struggling to justify short-priced favouritism on hurdles debut here last month (2m4f, heavy). May have not stayed the extra on that occasion, and back down in trip on less testing ground is an interesting runner.

Forecasts

Multiculture (11/8), Thisonetime (3/1), Culmination (11/2), Little Chunk (7/1), Fifty Bob (15/2), Brave Jaq (25/1), Badbad Leroy Brown (33/1), Sound The Bugle (33/1), Orchestrated (66/1), Friends Of Ama Gi (200/1), Blythe Prince (200/1), Parisian Charmer (200/1)

Verdict

This is mostly a combination of newcomers, those who have struggled in maiden/novice hurdles and those who have run nice races at a slightly higher level stepping down in class. CULMINATION would be in the latter category. A French Flat import formerly trained by Andre Fabre, this clearly talented performer won in that sphere before shaping nicely on British debut at Catterick after a long break. He has what is takes to win this if coming on at all for that run.Fifty Bob faces his easiest assignment to date here and looks another progressive gelding, while Thisonetime is also interesting stepped back down in trip. 1. Culmination 2. Fifty Bob 3. Thisonetime
