Smart Flat performer at up to 9f and sixth in his last start in that sphere in the Cambridgeshire. Given a very stiff task on hurdling debut when pulled-up in Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle and this looks a far more suitable test.

Yet to run over hurdles and just one Flat win to his name at Kempton on the AW over a mile. Rated 67 on the level and may find one or two of these knowing a little more here.

Had three starts in bumpers (all modest form) and well beaten on his hurdles debut when a very big price and outclassed.

Two starts so far over hurdles and neither was convincing including his seventh at Taunton last time out.
Like Celestial Path another recruit from the Prescott yard. Not seen since running at Pontefract in October 2015 over 2m2f and very much a stayer on the Flat. Makes his hurdles debut here for a leading yard but could find this track and trip a bit sharp.

Well fancied for a Uttoxeter bumper last July but ran below expectations despite having taking pedigree. May well have needed the experience though and should do better here on hurdling debut.

Showed some decent form in bumpers at Ludlow and Newbury without looking like winning. Beaten when struggling and falling on hurdles debut at Ffos Las over 2m4f.

Showed very little over hurdles so far in three starts in Ireland and starts out for a new yard here.

Age: 4|  Weight: 10-7| J: David Noonan| T: D Pipe
11/1
Rated 85 at his peak on the Flat when trained by John Gosden. Modest so far in a couple of starts over hurdles but did make a small step forward at Taunton last time out although it's to be expected that handicaps await after this run.

Forecasts

High Secret (11/10), Celestial Path (13/8), Ramonex (8/1), Vincent's Forever (11/1), Matts Legacy (14/1), Gold Mountain (20/1), Robin Why Not (40/1), Equleus (66/1), Glance Back (150/1), Miss Attymon (250/1)

Verdict

This looks the weaker of the two division and it could well be a straight fight between the two ex-Sir Mark Prescott inmates in CELESTIAL PATH and High Secret. The former was given a stiff task on his hurdles debut and predictably found that a bridge too far and he’ll appreciate this easier grade and shaper track as he does have a question mark against his stamina. High Secret comes back from a long break here and he might just need this and having been a stayer on the Flat may find this too much of a speed test. The rest are probably destined for handicaps with Vincent’s Forever, Matts Legacy and Ramonex all looking to be heading down that route. 1. Celestial Path 2. High Secret 3. Vincent's Forever
