Well backed when off the mark over C&D on penultimate start, and again ran well next time (on Saturday), beaten just over a length by Orlando Rogue from a 7lb higher mark. Riders claim very handy, and likely to go close assuming the recent busy spell hasn't taken it's toll.
No stranger to this track since May 2016, and twice a C&D winner from lower marks. Struggled from this mark (65) when last seen during September, but could have needed the break, and returns here a fresh horse.
Only raced on synthetics during an eight race career, and makes her Newcastle debut tonight. A runner up on Tapeta at Wolverhampton over 7f in early December, before finding 1m2f too far next time at Chelmsford. On balance needs to do more to break the maiden tag.
1m2f course maiden winner in mid November, having tackled a wide variety of trips at this track (including 2m). Whilst she's a likeable and reliable filly, ten furlongs is very much her trip, and she hasn't run over 1m here since May 2016 (fourth to Barwah) despite visiting this track a further nine times.
C&D winner in November off a mark of 56, but has appeared held since elevated to this recent high of 64. Dwelt here on Saturday, so could perhaps be excused that run, but has been busy and the relatively good run of form could be coming to an end now until her mark eases.
Much of his 4lb rise for a smooth travelling neck success over Lozah in mid December is negated by his riders three pound claim tonight, so highly likely to take plenty of beating after a 48 day break.
Twice placed in maiden fillies events for Brian Ellison on turf, but not so effective handicapping. Can be excused her latest start at Southwell, coming off a near seven month break, and makes her second start for these connections from an easing mark of 62. Worth watching tonight for the future.
Placed on numerous occasions for Ed Walker (including on Tapeta at Wolverhampton), and joined Richard Fahey for 11,000 Guineas in October. Might need this, her first run since October, but likely bought with this track in mind, and worth a glance in the market.

Forecasts
Star of Spring (5/2), Kicking The Can (3/1), Leonard Thomas (4/1), Newmarket Warrior (9/2), Lozah (5/1), Gladys Cooper (8/1), Indigo Princess (11/1), Barwah (14/1), Bad Girl Caoimhe (33/1)
Leonard Thomas will justifiably be popular, with Eoin Walsh's claim negating 75% of his 4lb rise for a neck success over Lozah in mid December, and he can again be fancied to get the better of that rival tonight. Iain Jardine is doubly represented, and the vote goes to his STAR OF SPRING, who ran well here on Saturday behind Orlando Rogue, and she can benefit for the 7lb claim of Callum Rodriguez who steered Eastern Dragon to success for this yard at the weekend.
1. Star of Spring
2. Leonard Thomas
3. Lozah
