Bit too keen to get on with things over a mile here a fortnight ago, did well to finish third then and could have more to come if being more restrained now with visor on.

Bit to free on reappearance here in November, eventually coming home last of 14, can do better if settling but plenty to find on form.

Scored nicely over C&D earlier this month when able to preserve his finishing effort just a little longer, could go well again despite 5lb hike.

Winner here in September but has been struggling since, not ruled out if putting his best foot forward again now.

Is a C&D winner and entitled to have needed the run here earlier this month over the mile, should do better.

Awkward out of the starting stall here a fortnight ago but made eye-catching late progress and just failed to score over this trip, that form puts him in the mix.

First run in well over a year when mid-division here a fortnight ago, might be capable of stepping forward on that effort.

Attempted to make all here recently but collared and faded at the furlong pole, overall record is patch of late and make limited appeal.

Forecasts

Arbourfield (3/1), Tennesse Waltz (9/2), No Way Jack (9/2), Shabra Emperor (9/2), Palavicini Run (7/1), Tom Dooley (7/1), Three Majors (8/1), Mr Michael (16/1), Osmanthus (16/1), Rigid Rock (20/1), Modern Tutor (20/1), Broderick Falls (20/1), Neds Gift (20/1), War Room (20/1), Bahamian Sunshine (33/1), Whistle (66/1)

Verdict

ARBOURFIELD excelled when dropped back to this trip last time, timing his run better and gaining a fully deserved success as a result. He goes up in the ratings for that win but could well have more to offer and gets the vote to follow up. Right behind him on the shortlist is No Way Jack, who fluffed the start last time before staying on strongly to get within a short-head of the winner. Shabra Emperor is a consistent performer here and should have a role to play while Broderick Falls and Tom Dooley can build on satisfactory recent efforts at this venue. 1. Arbourfield 2. No Way Jack 3. Tom Dooley
