Has run with some credit in one of his bumpers and a novices' hurdle but this is no easy maiden and he needs to find more to win it.

Brio Conti49

7/2
Won a maiden bumper at Stratford in May and went close over this trip on his hurdling debut at Haydock in November, though well beaten when dropped in distance last time. Trip and ground should be fine for him and he is likely to be a leading player.

Won a bumper at the fourth time of asking last spring (Market Rasen, good) and will be well prepared ahead of this first outing over timber. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree, so this step up in trip also likely to be a positive.
Winning Pointer by a top jumps sire and in the hands of a talented trainer, so several interesting factors with regard to this debutant under rules.
Steady improvement from first run to second since switching to hurdles, though will need significantly more to win this.

Dual bumper winner in the spring and put in a decent effort over C&D last time (good) and no reason why he can't be very competitive again today.

Shown nothing in a couple of Points and this is a big ask on his debut under rules.

Fontwell bumper winner who has yet to race on a sound surface, nor show a great deal in two hurdles starts. Not one to write off yet but may be a better proposition in handicaps.

50/1
Runner-up in both a PTP and a bumper in 2015, though clearly had his issues having not been seen since June of that year. Interesting to see how he fares on this hurdling debut and comes from good jumping stock, so may still have a career ahead of him.

Made the frame in both a bumper and a similar race to this for his top trainer. Bred to stay, so this extra half mile won't do any harm and this better ground also a likely positive, so has to be on the short-list.
A 2m 2f Flat win at Pontefract from a mark of 85 last summer suggests abundant stamina, though so far he has failed to translate that ability to hurdling in two previous C&D runs. Need to see more from him in this discipline before he can be recommended with any confidence.

Barra Hooley25
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: C Poste| T: T H Weston

Bumper runner-up on debut in Ireland, though has been beaten by increasing margins in five subsequent starts and impossible to get excited about here.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Jake Greenall| T: M Walford

Sent off at triple-figure odds on all but one starts so far and has largely lived up to those prices. May do better when handicapping but makes no appeal today.

Pomme33
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Danny Cook| T: N J Hawke
33/1
Landed a Wetherby bumper on debut almost two years ago but may be fragile as has had just two runs since, though recent C&D fourth after a lengthy break was not without encouragement.

Forecasts

Wenyerreadyfreddie (13/8), Dara's Present (3/1), Brio Conti (7/2), Gustave Mahler (11/1), Ain't No Limits (20/1), Wind Place And Sho (22/1), Markov (33/1), Pomme (33/1), Cougar's Gold (33/1), Rollo's Reflection (50/1), Derrick D'Anjou (100/1), Barra Hooley (250/1), Kilmoganny (250/1), Lady Broome (250/1)

Verdict

Pomme is an interesting contender now that she has proved her well being and a market check is advised where she is concerned, though preference today is for WENYERREADYFREDDIE, who should benefit from this greater stamina test. Brio Conti and Cougar's Gold are others that should get involved. 1. Wenyerreadyfreddie 2. Brio Conti 3. Pomme
