A victim of his own consistency, with the handicapper refusing to relent despite a losing run dating back to October 2014. Placed on seven occasions since and recent efforts suggest that a 1lb will be insufficient to end the drought.
Same mark here as when runner-up at Plumpton last time (3m 2f, soft). Acts on a sound surface and likely to be competitive.
Underlined his stamina with a good ground win over 2m 7f at Taunton last time and a 5lb rise looks fair. Lightly-raced and still open to a fair bit of improvement.
1lb higher than his sole chase wins from 20 attempts, which was at Southwell in 2015. Can still be competitive from this sort of mark though would like to see a bit more from him before lumping on.
Decent hurdler in 2014 but has clearly had his problems since then. Not out of this if able to repeat his Newcastle effort from November though has disappointed twice since.
Won a Market Rasen novices' hurdle this time last year, but has struggled to show his best in handicaps over both hurdles and fences since then and seems best on a softer surface.
Raises the average age here somewhat, though very hard to recommend this veteran who last won in a Listowel hunter chase in 2014.

Fort Worth (11/4), Behind The Wire (11/4), Henllan Harri (3/1), Paddy's Field (7/2), Godsmejudge (4/1), Wiesentraum (20/1), Ballybogey (22/1), Gonebeyondrecall (28/1), Zaru (33/1)
A competitive enough event and we will take a chance on WIESENTRAUMto come back to form from this much easier mark than he has been racing from for some time. With conditions to suit, first-time headgear on and Brian Hughes up there are a number of reasons why today could be the day. If he misfires once again then Behind The Wire is likely to be the chief beneficiary, while both Fort Worth and Henllnan Harri should be battling it out for a place in the frame.
