British Stallion Studs EBF Mares' 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle

Likeable mare who has raced only against her own sex thus far and popped up at a big price at Newbury last time. Conditions suit, though no obvious reason why the return to the minimum trip is to her advantage and with a penalty to shoulder she will need to improve to follow-up.

Pedigree has stamina written all over it and that was endorsed with her 2m 4f win at Huntingdon in November (good to soft). Well beaten on her follow-up mission at Newbury last time and she looks vulnerable.

Well placed to win two of her four starts and finish runner-up by a whisker last time out at Wincanton. Looks very likely to stay at least this far so it will be interesting to see if she is given a positive ride and with the ground apparently no problem she should be a leading player.

Has looked in need of further than the minimum in all three bumper starts. Has to prove she can handle the going, but if she does it is likely that we will start to see her show her hand now she goes hurdling for the first time.

Despite what looks to be a thrashing on paper, there was a fair bit to like about her Wetherby run on Boxing Day and she is gradually getting the hang of the game. Cut in the ground suits and she can continue her steady progress.

Stable traditionally does well with its mares and therefore it should not be long before we see more than this stamina-laden individual showed at Bangor on her rules debut.

Has started at longer prices with each run to date and has a fair bit to prove after a disappointing debut over timber at Warwick last time.

100/1 fourth in a Lingfield novices' hurdle in November, but little encouragement either side of that and her best hope of success is likely to be when handicapping.

Shown insufficient so far to be recommended today and handicapping looks likely to be where we see her take a closer hand.
