Soundly beaten last time on his first start in his race under rules other than hunter chases. This might not be that much easier and others are more likely types. Cheekpieces on for the first time.
Former good quality hurdler who has struggled over fences so far but is dropped in class today and has recently changed yard. Worth another chance off a career low mark.
Shot up the handicap after a good run last spring and struggled to keep that form going off the new high mark. Shaped much better last time after being pulled up on his first start after a break. Will appreciate the soft ground and remains on the same mark in first time cheekpieces, but this looks tougher.
A former point winner who tackles 3m for the first time under rules today. Disappointing last time when beaten 35 lengths at Fontwell but his mark has dropped for that and is interesting upped in trip today.
Former Colin Tizzard and Phillip Hobbs inmate whose handicap mark has been slipping while running some consistent races at this level. Trip and ground will suit, but it should be noted he hasn't won a race since December 2013.
Has run some nice races at a higher level than this off a similar sort of handicap mark but looks like he needs a marathon trip these days. Stays on well for pressure in his races but lacks any sort of speed, and even 3m is likely to be a fair way short of his optimum.
Has some form in the book behind some decent sorts but handicapper would seem to have his measure by now, with no top two finish in almost the last year, though he is 10lb lower than his most recent winning mark. Refused last time, voiding the race in the process.
Been beaten by double figure distances on every start so far. Shaped slightly better on first chase start last time, but that isn't saying much, and races from 7lb out of the handicap today.

WHISKEY CHASER was in excellent form this time last year, before his handicap mark went up to a prohibitive level. He's slipped back down to an winnable weight today however, and can build on his second last time to make it a second C&D win. African Gold has been disappointing over fences so far but is dropped in class today and can rate the main danger, along with veteran Moorlands Mist.
