Won a hurdle on this card three years ago. Transition to chasing has not gone according to plan and he has been a beaten favourite five times in this sphere. Has something to prove after a year's absence over a trip which looks short of his best.
Made all to score at Kelso but has found life tougher since in better company. Back at this level he has another opportunity to go off in front so he cannot be dismissed.
Came up against a potentially well handicapped horse last time and drops back to the trip which saw him score in game style at Newcastle. Jockey has won twice on him and he is tactically versatile.
C&D winner who has been running over longer distances more recently. Has had two runs over hurdles this term which will have him spot on for this and his handicap mark is attractive.
Stable had four winners on this card in 2012 and their representative here landed this twelve months ago off a 10lb lower mark. Not easy to catch right but looked near his best last time.
Won a couple of minor races last term and has been inconsistent since. Ran badly last time and cannot be relied upon to bounce back in what looks to be a better contest.
Has failed to complete both starts over fences. May need more of a test than this in due course.
Jumped well when making all to land a weak race at Sandown on his second start over fences. Unable to dominate next time off today's mark. Both career victories have come on better ground.
Forecasts
Pistol Park (9/4), Wuff (5/2), Ubaltique (11/2), Suit Yourself (9/1), Granville Island (10/1), Imjoeking (12/1), Back By Midnight (16/1), Oliver's Gold (20/1)
PISTOL PARK brings the best recent form into this and having come up against a highly regarded sort at Uttoxeter he should find this easier despite a 4lb rise in the weights. Granville Island runs well around here and two spins over hurdles will have him ready for this. He would prefer further but in the likely conditions and with a couple who like to force the pace that may not be a problem. Wuff comes from a yard that can bring them back from a layoff. He has been expensive to follow but his trainer may have found the right race if it is run to suit.
1. Pistol Park
2. Granville Island
3. Wuff
