Has become tough to predict with age but won a claimer over C&D in May and last winning mark was 7 b higher than this. Not shown much zest recently mind and may struggle to lead from the widest draw of all.
Smart AW performer who is having his eleventh run around here (placed three times). Has struggled to get a win under his belt recently though and the handicapper refuses to relent so he's hard to fancy for win purposes.
Best runs have come when able to lead but he's developed a bad habit of missing the break recently and that makes him tough to fancy from a wide draw.
Best efforts have come around here and returns for the first time in almost a year. Likely to face plenty of competition for the lead but he's just about feasibly handicapped and considering his liking for the track, he's a leading player here.
In the form of his life of late. Should have won last week when his 7lb claimer allowed the winner to get first run. Jockey booking is a positive but has 3 lb more on his back now and may find this a little tougher.
Inconsistent type who is at least back down to a workable mark. Finished last of 12 when last seen and he's a previous winner at that track so clearly needs to bounce back to something like his best here.
Got off the mark two starts back at Kempton but poor runs either side of that and the 7lb rise for the win seems on the steep side. Trainer in form though.
Very inconsistent performer in his veteran years and hasn't won from this kind of mark since 2015. Only one win from 17 starts at this track and probably better over a little further so opposable for now.
Not got his head in front since the end of 2015 in an apprentice handicap but back down to a more realistic mark now. Has a claimer in the saddle well worth his 7lb and has won at this course; claims if he can pull out a bit more.
Hit a bit of form in the summer and likely to come on for his recent reappearance at Newcastle. Still early days and likely to have more in the locker which is more than can be said for plenty of these but claimers strike rate only stands at 3.69% from 325 rides.
Placed just once in last 17 starts and that came in an apprentice race. Trainer likely to find the key to him at some stage but he's failed to score on the AW in eight attempts and he's not got his head in front since 2014 so he's not an obvious type.
Forecasts
You're Cool (4/1), Temple Road (4/1), Fly True (5/1), Archie Stevens (11/2), Noah Amor (9/1), Red Stripes (11/1), Noble Asset (12/1), Aragon Knight (14/1), Powerful Wind (14/1), Elusivity (25/1), Mambo Spirit (50/1)
This will be the first time ARCHIE STEVENS has returned to his favourite track for nearly a year so it's possible that will spark a revival and he's dangerous if allowed to get loose on the front end. You're Cool has the services of a talented claimer and he's getting down to a workable mark now. Temple Road has been in flying form of late but the 3lb rise for his latest defeat looks a little off-putting.
1. Archie Stevens
2. You're Cool
3. Temple Road
