Showed a good attitude when winning over C&D last month but picks up a 7lb penalty for those exertions, which would ordinarily mean he would face a stiff test under those terms. However, this is a weak race and Nicky Henderson's charge looks very capable of brushing aside a penalty in this company.
Won a decent bumper in France but looked far from straightforward on his British debut. Hard to fancy on that evidence and overlooked on this occasion.
Has the hood applied for the first time today after a poor effort last time. Caused an upset in a match-bet prior to that but only because his other rival fell at the last. Needs to improve.
Modest form in bumpers so far and didn't really shine in his latest start. His yard was back amongst the winners the other day but this fellow looks opposable on balance.
Very little to enthuse about on his jumps form up to date and is not too difficult to leave out of the betting equation.
Making good progress if the evidence of his last outing is to be believed. More required here but is going the right way. One to monitor in the betting.
Not finished in front of many rivals in any of his starts to date. Very hard to make even a weak case out to back him up.
Another who appears to be of very modest ability and needs to improve out of all recognition to finish in the first half of the field.
Just average on the Flat but posted a solid effort at Wincanton last month. This isn't a much tougher task, so should be capable at least giving the rest something to think about.
Was eased when his chance had gone at Huntingdon last time out and is better judged on his previous form, which has seen him banging on the door at this level. He may not want the ground too soft but has better form than most and is entitled to respect.
Her poor form in bumpers was matched by a dire effort over hurdles at Huntingdon last week. Her jumping went to pot and she was sensibly pulled up. Nothing to see here.
Bred to make an impact in the Jumping game and may be a long terms prospect. Her connections may have to wait a little while to recoup the £58,000 they shelled out for her though.

Not much strength in depth to the finale and RIVER WYLDE easily stands out as the most progressive choice. He won very easily last time out and it is difficult to see many of the rest giving him a hard time. Newera and The Blue Bomber may be the best of the rest – the course record for the fastest runner up is in no danger, let’s put it that way!
