Drops back in trip despite good effort when going close over further last time at Uttoxeter. Has plenty of weight though which may leave him vulnerable at the business end of the contest.

Station Closedt5
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-5| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  93
5/1
Two shocking runs in rceent starts were almost too bad to be true. Represents powerful yard though with great record at this track so any market interest would be highly significant.

How's Vienna6
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-3| J: B S Hughes| T: David Dennis| OR:  91
7/1
Makes the long jorney north from Worcestershire for his handicap debut which may be a pointer in itself. Has shown little in maiden hurdles so far but might be worth chancing today now he has a modest mark from which to build.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-2| J: Callum Whillans(3)| T: D W Whillans| OR:  90

10lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Newcastle last spring and ran poorly last out although may have been in need of the outing. Open to improvement so not totally discounted.

Steps back up half a mile in distance having appeared to be outpaced in closing stages over the minimum distance in recent starts. An infrequent winner though and a place might be the best she can expect this afternoon.

Five Point Plan12
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-5| J: D R Fox| T: Gemma Anderson| OR:  79
66/1
Hasn't won under rules for nearly five years and got no further than the first fence when usneating his rider last time. Back over timber today but very hard to make a case for given recent form.

Glenma29
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-3| J: S Mulqueen(5)| T: R M Smith| OR:  77
14/1
Had shown nothing in previous runs but was still upsides and when falling at the second last here last time out. That was a much improved effort and, if the tumble hasn't dented his confidence, he may go well again getting plenty of weight from most of his rivals.

King's Choristert30
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-0| J: Lorcan Murtagh(7)| T: F P Murtagh| OR:  67
40/1
Has produced very little form of note over the last 12 months and, despite a falling handicap rating, is readily overlooked in this company today.

Forecasts

Fearless Tunes (4/6), Station Closed (5/1), How's Vienna (7/1), Tomahawk Wood (9/1), Glenma (14/1), Mrs Grass (16/1), King's Chorister (40/1), Five Point Plan (66/1)

Verdict

In a race where most of his rivals are exposed, the David Dennis-trained HOW'S VIENNA looks worth taking a chance on as he makes his handicap debut. The gelded son of Westerner has obviously had training issues since landing a point to point three years ago, but connections have been patient and he has very few miles on the clock. Glenma was running his best ever race when falling at the seocnd last here recently and is a danger if in similar form, and Fearless Tunes should be on the premises despite having plenty of weight to shoulder. 1. How's Vienna 2. Glenma 3. Fearless Tunes
