An improving type with plenty of scope for improvement. Needs to be sharper than he showed last time out but it is early days for him and he has time on his side.
Showed an aptitude for jumping when getting off the mark over timber at Navan last season. However, he showed his inexperience with a sloppy fall in a beginner's chase here at the start of this month. Safe to assume there is nothing amiss with him and a clear round of jumping will do his confidence no harm at all.
A bit of a mixed bag of result attained over hurdles but he a likeable type with a good attitude. Handles cut in the ground but may better on a faster surface though. A watching brief is suggested for this, his chasing debut.
A moderate handicapper on the Flat, he switched codes at the start of this season and got off the mark in a selling hurdle at Leicester just over a month ago. That form may not amount to much in the bigger scheme of things but it will have given him the confidence to give fences a go. However, he makes limited appeal as a betting proposition today.
Fell when just getting competitive last time out and, assuming he is unscathed for the experience, he should be capable of making the rest aware of his presence. These can be unforgiving fences though, so he needs to prove he can keep his concentration before a serious play can be recommended.
Very difficult get enthusiastic about his last three starts as he has failed to complete twice and finished last on the other occasion. That said, he does have winning form over hurdles and is no forlorn hope if his confidence didn't suffer greatly after he tipped up at Thurles last month.
A fall on his hurdling debut doesn't bode well for him switching to fences straight away. However, these races are as much about education and long term prospects as they are about winning, so he looks one for the notebook just for now.
Won a lady riders race at Stratford last October and has been fun for his connections during a 23-race career under both codes. This is a step into the unknown though and he makes very limited appeal for a betting angle here.
No impression during his chase (and racecourse) debut at Down Royal last month. He got round in one piece - which is a good start. However, he finished a distance behind his nearest rival and needs to have developed plenty to have improved sufficiently to land such a competitive heat as this.
Won as anticipated over hurdles at Perth last time out and readily skipped away from his rivals. That said, he wasn't the most fluent at his hurdles and needs to show these fences at bit more respect. All that said he is certainly an interesting candidate and one to bear in mind if strongly supported in the betting ring.
Unseated his rider at the first on his chasing debut so obviously needs to better that effort. However, he is a capable hurdler and is certainly in the right hands to be taught a good education about the jumping game. However, he does look to be down the pecking order in his owner's expectations for this race and is best watched on this occasion.

As ever a cautious approach is advised when tackling this type of race. However, BALLYOISIN was in the process of running a big race last time out and, assuming he can stay focused at the fences in front of him, he is taken to put the record straight here. Double Scores has a similar profile and is forwarded as the best alternative, while A Great View heads the list as the best of the rest.
