Made all and won well last time out on a track that wouldn't necessarily favour a front-runner. Should be fine in softer conditions and likely to carry on progressing so very much respected.
Finished in the first three on all seven starts under rules and proven in the conditions. Finished two and three quarter lengths third in Grade 1 company to starts back behind a progressive type of Harry Frys. That rival has come out and won a Grade 2 and a Grade 1 since and that's the best form on offer here. More progression likely and made easy work of a three-runner field on his debut over fences.
Another exciting prospect in this line-up and he goes in search of a hat-trick here. Impressive on his two chase efforts and has won in heavy ground over hurdles so he should cope with the conditions. This is a step up in class but he's a live contender to say the least.
Grade 2 placed over hurdles but didn't look a natural over fences last time when finishing last of four. Step up in trip should suit and proven in softer conditions so he can't be ruled out.
Thrived on heavy going over hurdles last year but he's made plenty of jumping errors on his two starts over fences and he won't get away with mistakes against these rivals.
Won three of his five starts under rules and made an impressive start to his chase career when returning from a break in December. Could well come on for that run but needs to as this is a big step up in class.
Forecasts
Champers On Ice (15/8), Mystical Knight (3/1), American (4/1), Pobbles Bay (4/1), Chef D'Oeuvre (14/1), Captain Chaos (20/1), In The Tub (200/1)
Unowhatimeanharry looks like an exciting horse and CHAMPERS ON ICE finished within three-lengths of that rival in a Grade 1 last year. He looked just as good on his debut over fences and he may well be able to progress further. American made an impressive debut over fences and he ought to give the selection plenty to think about. Pobbles Bay has a step up in class to deal with but he's proven in the conditions and he's another who looks to defend a 100% win record over the larger obstacles.
1. Champers On Ice
2. American
3. Pobbles Bay
