Jumping has failed to convince in two starts over fences so far, including when unseating here over 3m1f latest. Drops back in trip now.
Smart enough hurdler on his day, but unseated final start in that sphere and fell first time over fences when looking held, making him a risk now.
Was only a modest sort over hurdles, well below top class. First start over fences here and best watched for now.
Decent efforts two of three starts over fences, including when just denied over 3m1f here latest, drops in trip now and big chance to open his account.
Beat a long way in Leopardstown bumper over Christmas, should at least be fitter from that now jumping fences for the first time.
Only modest over flights and cut very little ice on chase bow here last month over 3m1f. Drops in trip but all to do against some of these rivals.
Boasts more experience than most of these and couple of promising efforts in October but recent Limerick run was a bit of a let-down.
Chase bow over C&D in November was highly promising but slight disappointment he didn't get off the mark over three-miles at Fairyhouse since. Major player nonetheless.
Has been very busy since late summer and that appeared to take its toll when going chasing for the second time at Cork a week ago, soon beaten then and hard to fancy now.
Soon detached and never a factor on chase debut at Wexford in October 2015, off the track since.
Remote fifth of nine here on New Year's Eve, plenty on to turn tables on Edwulf from that effort.
One of the more interesting contenders in this line-up, lightly raced for leading trainer but hasn't run since pulled up handicap hurdle debut around Fairyhouse in March.
Outran his odds when 100/1 third at Thurles over 2m2f last month, can bid for minor honours once again here.
A 14-race maiden over hurdles and hasn't shown a great amount of sparkle in three recent runs in that sphere to warrant support for this.
Forecasts
Mall Dini (5/6), Bachasson (7/2), Edwulf (9/2), Robin Thyme (14/1), Just Cause (20/1), Champagne Harmony (22/1), Sunchyme (25/1), Arkwrisht (25/1), Master Appeal (33/1), Red Giant (33/1), Honest Robber (100/1), Too Many Notes (100/1), Moonunderwater (100/1), Follow Your Dream (100/1)
Bachasson's trainer has a fine record in this race, winning the previous two renewals, but there are enough doubts about his jumping to make him a risk now. MALL DINI's debut over C&D in November was bursting with promise and, while slightly disappointing upped in trip since, he's fancied to deliver now in a race that lacks depth. Edwulf has been consistent at this game and holds a claim now dropped in trip today. Robin Thyme is one to watch out for on chase bow while Just Cause should bounce back from a disappointing recent effort at Limerick.
1. Mall Dini
2. Bachasson
3. Edwulf
