Clearly well thought of by connections, form over hurdles in two starts is decent without being outstanding. Has a race like this in his compass.
Fair sort on the Flat, built on debut showing over hurdles when third at Huntingdon on Boxing Day but will need to come forward again.
Big price on hurdles bow at Market Rasen, race rather fell apart and he fell when beaten two out.
Well held in both starts over hurdles this term, and one to watch for now.
Fair enough form on the level, massive price and ran accordingly on his debut over hurdles at Bangor, gets cheekpieces fitted now.
Has joined a new yard ahead of hurdles bow, two-time winner on the Flat but not especially promising here.
Hurdles bow was promising at Kempton but hasn't backed that up in subsequent run at Warwick. May be second string from a powerful yard here but not written off just yet.
Uttoxeter third over much longer trip than this was a step forward on debut over timber, respected.
Made all for Ludlow bumper success on rules bow last month, adding to point win. Definite contender as one of two for leading trainer in this race.
Reached fair level on the Flat and has realistic hopes of building on first start over hurdles at Bangor last month when just better than midfield.
First start in this sphere have shown glimpses of ability in a couple of bumper outings.
Couple of attempts over hurdles last month leave him with more questions than answers at this stage.
Hexham maiden win was little more than a canter and since been well beaten in the fog at Haydock.
Forecasts
Top Ville Ben (4/5), Great Tempo (9/2), Compadre (5/1), Viserion (12/1), Whatmore (16/1), Dawn Missile (16/1), Silverhow (20/1), Sunday Central (25/1), Midnight Jitterbug (66/1), Whispering Nick (100/1), Lickpenny Larry (200/1), Musical Moon (200/1), Samsonite (200/1)
French import Great Tempo had a simple task at Hexham on debut but has since disappointed in the Haydock fog, although he isn't written off, a comment that can also be attached to Silverhow after his Warwick run. His stablemate TOP VILLE BEN made a good start under rules at Ludlow and should give this a fair crack now jumping for the first time. There is likely more to come from Compadre while both Dawn Missile and Viserion can build on their respective hurdling efforts to date. Sunday Central is intriguing now dropped significantly in trip.
1. Top Ville Ben
2. Great Tempo
3. Compadre
