Down the field in maidens but did much better on handicap debut at Newcastle when beaten by Oxford Blu. Winner has somewhat let the form down since with a six length beating but Booshbash, back in fourth has won again since. Contender.
Beaten a total of 46 lengths in three maidens and no reason to think he can win this despite attractive pedigree. Visor fitted for the first time but hard to see it transforming this colt. A gelding operation looks likely to be on the way.
Looks high in the weights for a gelding with no wins from 11 appearances, three on the AW. Best performance on penultimate start at Newcastle but that was over seven furlongs and this race is two and a half furlongs longer. Always in the rear when tried over a similar trip to this at Pontefract.
Only beaten five home in four attempts from six furlongs to a mile. Last race was on the AW at Newcastle and that was a better performance, beaten just under six lengths. Trainer in form with a second and two winners from his last five runners but she needs to step up on the bare level of her form and has a tough draw to contend with.
Last of six on debut in August and little improvement in two further outings. Not seen since October but trainer's horses running to form that their price suggests so a glance at the market should be accurate for the filly. Ran green last two times and improvement to come.
A maiden after 11 runs at distances from 5f to a mile. Has form with last time out winning filly Babouska and gets an eight pound pull for a beating of under two lengths. Difficult to separate as the filly probably has more improvement in her after just six runs but this colt could prove the value.
Won on sixth outing last time out and almost certainly improving as she won off 48 after a previous placed run off a pound extra. Backed into favouritism prior to that win and the market should be a good guide today. Trainer in form with three winners and four placed from 14 runners since Boxing Day.
Handicap debut after only beating one home in three maiden events. Hard to see where the improvement needed to win this would come from and looks a complete outsider. Trainer has a similar type in the race with Willie's Anne.
Filly who has run twice at Kempton and once here without being placed. Looks to need time and unlikely to be this time.
Been beaten by 32 competitors in three previous attempts and no suggestion that she can find enough improvement to get into the money today.
Ran a reasonable race at Kempton over a furlong and a half further just three days ago. Trainer has two in the race and this seems the more likely one with gradual improvement in her last three outings. Her recent latest attempt saw her beaten just under six lengths off today's mark and the second time cheekpieces and 5lb claimed by the useful apprentice on board might clinch the deal and see her lose her maiden tag.
Forecasts
Serenade The Stars (3/1), Babouska (7/2), La Vie En Rose (5/1), Masterfilly (6/1), Our Boy John (17/2), Good Time Ahead (12/1), Gog Elles (12/1), Forest Steps (20/1), Willie's Anne (25/1), Secret Poet (25/1), Dragonite (33/1)
This might come down to three in the shape of Gog Elles if she lines up in the race, Our Boy John and BABOUSKA have close form lines with the latter possibly the more likely winner due to her unexposed profile.
1. Babouska
2. Our Boy John
3. Gog Elles
