Finished a good second when returning from a break last time out and won over this trip at Exeter last year. The form of that race worked out well so no reason to think he won't get involved here if he's come on for his reappearance run.
Point winner who has been disappointing under rules to date. May well come on for reappearance but more encouragement needed before he becomes of interest from a betting perspective.
Best run to date came over a similar trip at Chepstow but has been disappointing recently and handicapper refuses to relent. Claims if the step up in trip brings him back to the form of his Chepstow placed effort but hasn't looked as good over fences.
Made a promising start to his career but he has been badly out of form since and developed some bad jumping habits along the way. Would probably want to see more rain and others preferred in current form.
Doesn't look the most fluent of jumpers (uncharacteristically for this yard) and arrives on the back of three poor runs. No obvious excuses on last two starts and the switch to fences has to be a worry.
Narrowly won a handicap hurdle at Exeter last spring but not been in the same form since. Interesting to see whether chasing brings out any improvement in him.
Minor promise in Chepstow race two starts back but poor runs on either side of that and the fact remains he has failed to place on six starts over rules. Step up in trip and chasing bow need to bring out plenty of improvement.
Has looked a stayer in the past but put in a poor run last time out. Interesting to see what the market makes of him for a shrewd yard.
Inconsistent type who did well last time out to finish second over a little further. One win from 31 starts isn't encouraging but seems to have taken to chasing better than he did hurdling and appears to be on a workable mark.
Lightly raced for his age. Still a maiden but appeared to be getting the hang of things on second start for this yard last time out. However, all his best runs have come on heavy ground and one would feel any rain would aid his chance.
Has been thereabouts on several occasions without getting her head in front. Should pop up in a race like this at some stage but seems to prefer softer ground than is forecast.
Ran a promising race at Exeter two starts back but failed to back that up last time and jumping leaves a lot to be desired.
Ran respectably in a weak affair at Taunton recently, possibly enjoying the longer trip. Drops back down here and has a tough task from out of the weights.
More letters than numbers next to his name in recent times but no doubt he'd have a chance if returning to his old hurdle form. That, however, seems unlikely and faces a stiff task from 10lb outside the handicap.
Forecasts
Cucklington (11/2), Oneida Tribe (7/1), Replacement Plan (15/2), Sonoftheking (8/1), Port Navas (8/1), Captain McGinley (8/1), Trehan Cross (10/1), Shanann Star (14/1), Lunar Flow (14/1), Get In Pat (14/1), Catch A Thief (16/1), Lord Ballim (20/1), Comical Red (28/1), Minmore Grey (66/1)
If SONOFTHEKING can build on his reappearance at Taunton last month he would take all the beating in this modest affair. Lord Ballim ran well over a similar trip to this at Chepstow, so shouldn't be ruled out and Lunar Flow has occasionally shaped like a chaser so any market move for him may be worth noting.
1. Sonoftheking
2. Lord Ballim
3. Lunar Flow
