Penalised for a win in a bumper at Southwell on debut last May and disappointed on seasonal return at Uttoxetter last month. May have been in need of the outing so not discounted, but others make more appeal.
Won a three mile point-to-point in October before joining the Brian Ellison stable. Looks an interesting prospect and shouldn't lack for fitness.
In front when falling on debut at final fence in a point-to-point and subsequently bought for a whopping £220,000 by current connections. Likely to have done plenty of home work and very much one for the short list with plenty clearly expected of him.
Five-year-old gelding by Notnowcato making his racecourse debut today and more than likely to be in need of the experience. Hard to recommend with trainer's horses usually better for the outing.
Has shown ability in two point-to-points and has the assistance of the champion jockey on his debut today under rules. Market likely to provide some indication of expectations this afternoon.
Purchased for €34,000 as an unraced three-year-old and looked very green on his racecourse bow at Uttoxeter in November. Likely to have benfitted from that outing but hard to be too confident he'll improve enough to have a say today.
Nicely bred Midnight Legend gelding who cost €55,000 as an unraced three-year-old and represents powerful connections. Trainer 2 from 8 with runners in bumpers over the last 12 months , so has to be respected.
Runner-up on both outings in this sphere to date and went close at Doncaster last time out. Joined Pam Sly less than a week ago and more than likely to once again be in the thick of the action.
Shaped much better than finishing position indicates when 11th of 14 on debut at Newcastle 20 days, travelling nicely until tiring inside the final two furlongs. Attracted market support that day so wouldn't surprise if putting up an improved show with that experience under his belt.
Full brother to listed A/W winner Speckled and closely related to a number of decent US performers. Unraced for Godolphin and joined Philip Kirby for just £9000 last January. Not seen since though, suggesting he may have had training issues.
Forecasts
Espoir De Teillee (8/11), Eskendash (4/1), Bordeaux Bill (6/1), Hogan's Height (10/1), Uncle Alastair (12/1), Oski (25/1), Mackie Dee (66/1), Yellow Admiral (66/1), Ibreeq (100/1), Fourteen Red (200/1)
A number of potential improvers in this bumper, principal among them the expensive purchase ESPOIR DE TEILLEE who would have won his only outing in a point-to-point but for falling when clear at the final fence. He looks the one to beat, but the experienced Eskendash should test him, as too might Uncle Alistair, Hogan's Height, and the interesting Ibreeq, who was far from disgraced on his recent racecourse bow.
1. Espoir De Teillee
2. Eskendash
3. Ibreeq
