Seemed to show marked improvement when stepped up in trip last time out and cantered home at Fontwell. Carries a 7lb penalty for that win but today's further step up in distance likely to bring about more progression. A leading contender.
Didn't appear to relish fences at Newbury last time and quickly reverts to hurdles this afternoon. Stays well, but will need to put her poor effort last time behind her and might be best watched for now.
Game winner at Uttoxeter in November and appears to stay well. Any rain would likely aid her chance, but the booking of champion jockey Richard Johnson suggests connections mean business.
Found plenty for pressure when running out a game winner over this trip at Newcastle last month and should again be in the mix off a 4lb higher mark. Seemingly at her best when the mud is flying.
Trainer having a good season but is 0 from 6 runners at this track in recent seasons. Raised 5lbs for a good win at Doncaster last time and possibly scored with more in hand than the wining margin suggests. Looks sure to be thereabouts again today.
Thorough stay who landed a modest handicap hurdle at Sedgefield in April but not been seen since and fitness has to be taken on trust. Likely to be better for the outing and may require a longer trip..
Trainer does well here and has his horses in form, but was disappointing at Bangor 15 days ago. Takes a step up in trip today (which might help) but others are preferred.
Forecasts
Happy Diva (9/4), Two Swallows (9/4), Midnight Silver (4/1), Bells On Sunday (9/2), Bull And Bush (20/1), Lyme Park (25/1), Fresh By Nature (50/1)
A decent mares handicap hurdle which may fall to TWO SWALLOWS, a good winner last time at Doncaster and who appears to be progressing nicely. She is is narrowly preferred to top weight Happy Diva, and to Uttoxeter scorer Midnight Silver, for whom the booking of Richard Johnson looks a very positive move. Any rain would also bring Bells on Sunday into the equation in a trappy contest.
1. Two Swallows
2. Happy Diva
3. Midnight Silver
