An interesting and competitive contest despite the small field and it may well be a case of who can find the most improvement here. The most likely candidate would be CLAN DES OBEAUX who took his Newbury contest in fine style. Critics will say that the race rather fell apart but he jumped like an old hand and the 7lb penalty for that win may not be enough to stop him here. The Nicky Henderson duo will provide a good test with Whisper marginally preferred of that pair especially as he has the better hurdling form and looks to be following an identical path to Oscar Whisky trained and owned by the same connections who took this race back in 2014.
