Irreverent is unexposed and could well benefit from first time headgear but CLUB WEXFORD gets the nod. He's a four-time course and distance winner and although he's not won off a mark this high, he's in with a serious chance.

Although DESERT ENCOUNTER was held up last time at Windsor he reached the front travelling smartly under Jamie Spencer. The horse appears to have the perfect jockey for his racing style and this renewal doesn't appear as strong as last year when the selection was third.
14:40 Ayr - William Hill Ayr Silver Cup Handicap (Class 2)
A mammoth handicap to pick through and plenty of these are weighted to go well. Golden Apollo is on a long losing streak and can't be trusted, Flying Pursuit is 9lb lower than his highest winning mark and Get Knotted seems to thrive best at York. SAVALAS is another well handicapped animal, being some 10lb lower than when winning a 20-runner handicap at York last year. This year hasn't been as productive but he's on a dangerous mark.
14:55 Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1)
Pierre Lapin was impressive when winning on debut at Haydock. Once he settled, he ran on readily but this is a significant step up. MYSTERY POWER, appears to be ahead of these on the basis of his win in the Superlative Stakes and can put a soft-ground defeat to Pinatubo behind him.
Graceful Magic narrowly won a decent handicap last time out at Doncaster but she'd probably have a lot to find on the bare form. ORLAITH took a Listed contest at Newbury when last seen and that form has been franked. Final Option was green at Salisbury and could have more to offer too.
15:30 Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Handicap (Class 2)
Favourites have a 40% record in this race from the last 10 runnings and FOREST OF DEAN ranks as another who has a very strong chance. He had several of these rivals in behind at York last time out and even these revised terms shouldn't be enough to halt his progress.
15:50 Ayr - William Hill Ayr Gold Cup (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2)
The usual cavalry charge over 6f with 25 going to post. David O'Meara has a strong hand in the race and SUMMERGHAND gets the nod. He's been extremely consistent this year whilst stablemate Intisaab is now off a dangerous mark. Plenty will be interested in Buffer Zone and he's well in at the weights.
