William Haggas: "We were always going to go forward but the headwind has got up so we asked Saffie [Osborne] to be well aware of that and it was a bit of an ordinary watch I have to say but she got there in the end.
"I think she's looking for a mile and a half. I don't think she enjoyed the ground much, I didn't think her action was very good, even going to post. I don't know whether we've lost the ground now but she's getting up to having a shot at a black type race.
"She's obviously in good form, she's doing well, so we'll have a look and see what there is."
Verdict
9 Silver Lake and 10 Dream Camp best pair.
Parade ring updates
5 Plaid - should improve marginally.
12 Food For Thought - doesn’t catch the eye on fitness.
16 Bearin Up - in fair condition, no major conditions.

15 Dunkeld Dreamer - needs the run.
2 Sharpen - needs the run.

Colin Keane: "He's a lovely, big horse; he came from the breeze-ups. Joseph [O'Brien] thought he was a nice type of horse, first day at school, he thought it was important for him to do everything right, take him out steady, nice and easy.
"We were drawn beside the experienced ones and he said ideally if you end up behind them it would be great. There was a bit of pace on early doors, I let him come out by himself and he relaxed straight away into the bridle, cruised through the race and quickened nicely.
"He feels like a horse who will go another furlong no problem. He's a big, rangy action and got through that slow ground well but he's a good moving horse and I couldn't see why he wouldn't appreciate nicer ground either. Joseph's horses can take a massive step forwards from run to run and today was just about giving him a good education and doing things right and he did that well."

Verdict
7 Magwitch and 13 Sole Ambition best pair.
Parade ring updates

14 Speyside - tall and slender, will still fill into frame but plenty to like today again (liked at Goodwood)!
8 Master Celeritas - lengthy through the back, raw framed, will come on.
1 Benjamin Hornigold - physically forward, walks well, likeable.

Juan Hernandez: "That was some performance, all the credit goes to Bacio; I'm just happy to be here, enjoying the moment.
"He was all fire, even before the gate he was trying to get ahead of the other guys, he kind of hit the gate a little bit but after that he was calm and he was ready. When the gate opened, he was all fire, he was trying to go too early, but I was able to take him back a little bit and save him for the last part.
"I want to say thanks to Wesley Ward for bringing me here, assistant Blake, the groom - they do a really beautiful job with this horse and thanks to everybody. It's my first win here but hopefully I can come back again. It's really special. It's something I never imagined before when I started riding back in Mexico but I'm really happy and this race is for America and all of my family."

Verdict
11 Mission Central best, 13 Azure Angel over priced.
Parade ring updates
18 Pershaada - loose and fluid movement, obviously lacking the size and power of some, but she’s not turned a hair and is very fit.
13 Azure Angel - looks much better than she has been presenting, notable.
7 Redorange - fussing and toey, needs to settle a little but no issues on fitness.
10 Bacio - powerful, short backed sprinter, catches the eye, hard to dislike.
3 Cover Up - close coupled, fussing a little, okay.
2 American Affair - has got very warm, which is unusual for him, can’t fault on fitness.
4 Jm Jungle - solid and muscular, no issues with new headgear, looks well.
6 Partisan Hero - big, solid type, consistent presentation, in good order.
1 Ain't Nobody - appeals more than he usually does; tends to underwhelm, looks fit and well.
12 Asfoora - hasn’t really appealed in the paddock this year, doesn’t seem to be a match from paddock view to performance; similar to Goodwood.
16 Time For Sandals - tall, elegant looking filly, looks well enough but not standing out like she has in the past.
15 Rayevka - small and muscular, solid little filly, similar to Ascot.
9 Starlust - always carries a bit of condition, looks well enough for him.
5 Night Raider - fit and fine, not standing out.
11 Mission Central - notable on multiple counts; very fit and very relaxed compared to what he can be like.
17 Fitzella - appeals, but she does tend to. Slender filly; fit.
14 Heavenly Heather - getting warm early, muscular and solid mare.
8 Rumstar - not appealing in the same way as he has on the last two runs.

Michael Dods: "I think Connor [Beasley] would have liked to have gone a bit sooner but obviously he had to sit and wait. He's shown his ability, some horse. Upwards and forwards now hopefully.
"To win here is everything really, the whole family is here, the owner is local.
"This horse is unbelievable, he wasn't an expensive purchase, and I think he'll improve and I think he'll get another furlong. He's very exciting. He's in the Mill Reef, that will probably be his next run and that will be the end of the season and then we'll have to have a rethink."

Verdict
3 Arapaho Gold best.
Parade ring updates
3 Arapaho Gold - archetypal two year old sprint, closely put together and powerful, getting on toes but in a nice way, plenty to like.
4 Final Objective - close coupled, fit and fine.
6 Hell Of A Spin - small and powerful, typical two year old sprinter, fine.
12 Ronson - big physical, filled out since Sandown, lovely type - others racier.
7 Marco Polo - quite lengthy through the back for a Night Of Thunder, very unassuming physical - usually a Ballydoyle horse knocks you out more.
8 Matteo - has size and will develop into a lovely three year old; raw still and a little green.
1 Adaay of Scarlett - always presents the same, never changed through the season, small and a proper sprinting two year old.
2 Agamemnon - well balanced, fit and well.
11 Never Enough - eye catching physical, well balanced with size; little inexperienced still.
10 Mussab - small, doesn’t catch the eye, needs the run.

William Buick: "It's the first time I've ridden him and he did hit a flat spot and Tom [Clover] did tell me beforehand that he does do that.
"It felt like we went a nice pace and then we got racing very early and he probably just ended up picking up the pieces towards the end a little bit.
"Brilliant for Tom and the team and this horse has been to Meydan and ran good in races all year here so he deserved that one."

Verdict
1 Caballo De Mar looks the quality option here, 5 Columbus provides the best alternative and probably over priced.
Parade ring updates
2 Al Nayyir - has been consistent in presentation, fit and fine.
7 Illinois - probably similar presentation to Goodwood; hadn’t appealed when winning at Ascot. Big, bulky sort, doesn’t jump out.
8 Mount Atlas - big, solid type, tends to present consistently; fit and well.
9 Quickthorn - not unfit, some rib on show but will improve.
6 French Master - throwing head about and not settled, compared to usual, okay definition.
5 Columbus - better than Ascot, small and very ribby.
1 Caballo De Mar - good level of fitness, shine to coat, nothing to dislike.
3 Amiloc - looking very on good terms with himself, good level of definition.

Rossa Ryan: "He's a very giving horse and once I got to the front at the bend he pricked his ears and I was always in a good rhythm.
"Probably struggled a small bit turning in to adapt to the ground but, to be fair, once I got stuck into him and I could hear the commentator saying 'one coming down the outside' and I caught a glimpse and he went again. Nothing fazes him when he's out in front and controlling it, if they come to him he doesn't light up and do too much.
"Clive [Cox] had him spot on and gave me a lot of confidence getting on this lad."
And when asked about the ground, he replied: "Hard work."

12 Ironwill - big strong sort, catches the eye.
14 Eklleem - very fit, to the point of lean, looks well.
