Brian Ellison talks us through some of his Flat team for 2019 and nominates a two-year-old to follow.
Flag-bearer: Baraweez has been a fantastic horse for us over the years and seems as well as ever. He loves those tight tracks and will probably head back to Chester where he's won twice in the past.
On the upgrade: Little Jo was progressive last season but might not be done yet and I'm really happy with his he looks at the moment.
Exciting two-year-old: Geepower is the one I'll put forward. He's a Power colt and is due to make his debut at Beverley on Monday.
It’s that time of the year when the Flat season takes centre stage. With thousands of horses, hundreds of jockeys and plenty of trainers performing across the UK & Ireland in multiple meetings every single day, it can be tough to keep track of all that catches your eye. But not any longer. Our My Stable service is the simple and perfect way to stay on top (and ahead) of the game.
Baraweez
He's a smashing horse and he's a lovely horse. He's working well and runs in the Thirsk Hunt Cup on Saturday.
He'll be looking to go back to Chester which he likes and he's won about £350,000 so it's not bad and he seems in really good form.
Little Jo
He did really well last year and should probably have won the Silver Cambridgeshire, he just got beat by a head and a neck there. He probably went too early.
He looks fantastic anyway and he'll definitely win of a mark in the low 80s.
Little Legs
The wife named her after me, unsurprisingly.
She came out this year and she ran disappointingly at Newcastle but she scoped badly so hopefully we can just give her a bit of time to get over it and she'll come good.
She's not particularly big and it can be tough for the three-year-olds but she's got ability.
Seamour
He missed last year but he's back and we're just feeling our way with him now. He came out of his comeback run at Newcastle okay and he's been dropped 3lb to 93.
The dream would obviously to try and get him into something like the Sky Bet Ebor but I'd say he'd have to win a few first! He won't get in there but he's in the Chester Cup and we'll see how he is.
Be Kool
He won at York and Ayr the year before last and was a good third at Galway but he never got his ground last year.
He wants it on the soft side really and when he gets some cut he should be fully effective off a mark in the high 70s as he seems in good order again now.
Algaffaal
We call him Alfie. We got him off William Haggas and he's nice. He's had a run, rated 75 and he runs at Newcastle on Wednesday.
Monsieur Jimmy
He's actually only got the one eye but we got him from Declan Carroll and he won for us at Carlisle last year.
First Flight
He's had plenty of problems with his back and things over the years but he's just come back in training. Mile and a half handicaps might be his bag.
Paddy Elliott
He's a two-year-old colt who has had a couple of runs and improved nicely from his first run to last time when third.
He's one who will go forward when we step him up to six furlongs. We'll give him a break now until the six furlong races start.
The Mackem Missile
This is a nice two-year-old by the looks of things and could be one for a bit later in the season over six and maybe seven furlongs.
Geepower
I'm hoping he could be one of our better two-year-olds as he's been shaping quite well in his early work. We haven't done much with them yet but the signs are quite promising.
