LILKIAN counted Sir Rodneyredblood among his victims when landing a hat-trick with a victory at Chelmsford. He still looks ahead of the handicapper and can continue winning ways. Kingsholm had Bernard Spierpoint back in third when winning at Wolverhampton earlier and went close again over track and trip last time but Blazing Hot’s recent success came over 5f in novice company at Southwell. Gold Brocade could be thereabouts once again while Top Secret failed to get a clear run at Chepstow last time and can finish closer.

Party Spirit is the only one to have raced over a mile so far when runner-up at Ripon. But she still has a bit to find on these terms with RISING STAR despite the latter’s penalty for an earlier success at Wolverhampton. Marco Botti’s charge has gone close again since and is preferred to the other penalised winner Crazy Luck, who won at Salisbury last month. Mehmas Touch finished just ahead of Desert Cat when fifth at Wolverhampton while New Heights is preferred to stablemate Broadhaven of the newcomers.

MAY NIGHT gave the impression this extra distance would suit when scoring over 7f here on his handicap debut with Astapor well beaten. He may well defy a penalty and go in again. Jazzi'o placed again at Windsor on her handicap bow but Gallardise ran as though something was amiss at Salisbury having earlier won a novices race at Lingfield. Tricolore and Baby Sham are worth a second glance now handicapping for the first time.

MISTER ALLEGRO missed an engagement at Redcar yesterday having won over track and trip before that. He’s due to be raised by more than today’s 6lb penalty and looks sure to go close again. Gordonstoun steps up in trip after winning over 7f on the Turf at Lingfield while Menai Bridge debuts on the all-weather having placed at Lingfield last month. Full Marks is another stepping up from 7f while Burristo could figure with an apprentice taking 7lb off his back.

PRISMATIC has placed in both outings to date and should be winning at this level off a mark of 82. She has much stronger form than the others with experience who have shown little so far and a newcomer may prove a bigger threat including stablemate Bubbling Up. The latter is a half-sister to a Listed winner while Crown Power is related to the smart Keyser Soze and Utile is another worth noting in the betting.

Lancelot Du Lac may not be the force of old but can still figure off his current mark. But ALAADEL (NAP) has the more recent form with a better effort at Goodwood last month and should be in the mix having only his second start on the all-weather. Concierge has been in good form over the minimum trip and finished in front of both Mount Mogan and Mubaalegh when placed at Ascot last time while Typhoon Ten had the measure of Total Commitment at Windsor but the latter is preferred back on this surface. Persuasion has struggled so far this year and drops down to 6f for the first time.

BOMA GREEN made his handicap debut in a tougher contest at York but wasn’t disgraced in fourth and today’s return to 7f should suit. Starshiba failed to land the odds in novice company at Salisbury and makes his handicap debut along with Chelmsford third Greycoat. Lead Singer is another handicapping for the first time but Lingfield winner Alnasherat failed to cope with a rise in the weights in his reappearance and steps up in trip.

Sir Mark Prescott sent out last year’s winner and LISMORE has now won three of her last four outings after romping home at Wolverhampton. She can defy a penalty due to be raised by a further 3lb after this. Deposit also arrives in good form and bids for a hat-trick after scoring at Beverley but the remainder have something to prove over today’s trip. Single has won over 1m6f and Thai Power has placed over the same trip while Cozone is preferred to Relativity of the remaining pair.
