Man On The Spot best bets for Gulfstream Park on Sunday May 3

Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Sunday's meeting at Gulfstream Park.

17.45 (all times BST, live on Sky Sports Racing): Crystalina lost her chance at the start last time after a very good second earlier. Lookn Fine As Wine has been racing on Turf in slightly better company and would have an obvious chance if taking to the surface. ETANA flashed past the post in first place at Laurel in November but was disqualified and placed second. She takes a significant drop in class and looks the one to beat. Aunt Irene is a disappointing type while Signing Bonus ran a shocker here last time, though the latter has strong claims on her previous run on the track. Nenita had her first start over this trip here last month and did a bit better while Marianna Queen takes a drop in class.

18.15: ANIMAL TRICK, a prolific winner, scored here in January before a narrow defeat on his next start and was racing in better company when well beaten last time. Si Es Goya had been going well before a moderate latest effort where he started a well-supported favourite. He can definitely do better as can Millionaire Runner, who has competed at a much higher level in the past. Desert General found 6f too short last time and has won over the trip while Candy Crushem ran well for third in a better contest latest and is greatly respected.

18.45: Joe Benjamin very nearly lost his maiden tag in a similar contest last time and should get into the action but BUDGET BUSTER had Sir Chubby just behind when a close second over the track and trip last month and looks the one to beat. Traceability is well held by the former on latest running but Guaco is probably capable of better than his form figures suggest. Fantastry takes a definite drop in class though has yet to reach a place in four starts.

19.15: Sir Kahn has had plenty of chances but showed very good speed over 7f behind a smart winner last time. Harper should be winning soon and it could be here if the blinkers have the desired effect while Battle Rags should make progress from a promising debut at Tampa. Odds It's Real made a belated racecourse debut here in March so is greatly respected though a chance is taken on George Weaver's newcomer COMPETITIVE SAINT, a half-brother to a prolific winner and certain to know his job. Saffie Joseph's Getthe Muny Bernie is another newcomer to keep an eye on.

19.46: Conquer has only won once though it was in a better race than this. War Act is in fine shape having scored on the Dirt recently but a wide draw makes this very difficult. Put It On Detti lost his maiden tag two starts ago and met all sorts of problems in-running next time so he'll be expected to go well as will Felon, though the latter has done better on Turf. Hudson Overpass has raced in much better company at the top New York tracks though might find this on the short side on very fast ground so the vote goes to CONGRATS THAT. Mike Yates' charge was a very unlucky loser last time, caught close home after attempting to make all from the outside. From stall one here, he can gain compensation.

20.17: TOURNESOL, a winner over the trip, had very little chance in a much better race here last time and can get back to winning ways. Toffen gained a surprise victory over the course and distance last month but has plenty of scope and another big run is expected. Days of Spring gained her third victory in comfortable fashion here last time when she had hat-trick chasing Joyous Times back in fifth though the latter didn't run up to her form. La Cara Bonita scored here in January but was behind the selection next time.

20.48: After a pipe-opener over 6f in January, TOKEN (NAP) has shown herself to be well suited by a mile in two subsequent starts and a maiden like this should be well within the scope of Bill Mott’s filly with Tyler Gaffalione doing the steering. Guazza ran well for a long way on debut in a race that’s worked out well and was then placed here last month, though seems a bit one-paced. Estilo Talentoso has found only one too good in all four starts to date so can’t be ignored and the four-year-old Sport’n Forty also warrants a mention.

21.21: Moon Eyes was never seen with a chance here a month ago but her earlier form stands up to scrutiny in this grade and she shouldn’t be discounted. Henny’s Treasure is proving hard to place but she was noted finishing strongly again here in March, though still finished a head behind KARENINA. Miguel Vasquez’s mount disappointed next time and a record of 1-25 tempers enthusiasm but she still gets another chance on her overall form. For Kicks looks held but Cassidy’s Smile could go well at decent odds as she’s had only two runs this year.

21.53: There are some nice, unexposed fillies competing for a decent prize. Vast won two of her four starts last year but was disqualified after finishing third at Aqueduct in November when last seen. Boerne has won her last two here and the outside draw is no disadvantage with only six runners. Sweet Mia clearly loves it here and won’t be far away again while Velvet Crush was a wide-margin winner over 7f last time. SPANISH POINT gets a tentative vote as she’s been rested since surrendering her unbeaten record in January against a filly she’d beaten decisively here in the autumn.

22.25: Twice a winner on Dirt, things haven’t quite gone to plan for OUTSHINE since finishing second to a subsequent winner at Tampa Bay Downs just over a year ago but Todd Pletcher lowers the sights of his Malibu Moon colt here and he can get back to winning ways. Stock Trade is sure to strip fitter for a run here eight days ago and Souper Courage fared best of a number of these who ran in the race won by Zippy here last month, though the likes of Devoted Kitten, Gins and Tins, Machiavelli and Bold Paynter weren’t beaten far.

22.57: Another very interesting allowance stakes on today’s card. Flashing Diamond has been showing bags of pace over slightly further so is interesting dropping back in trip. R Prerogative has just edged MIDTOWN ROSE on the last two occasions they’ve met but Saffie Joseph’s filly had to wait for a gap to appear here last month and is better drawn now. Aurelia Grand is having a first run in over a year but looked potentially smart on debut and makes more appeal than the likes of Moonstone and Short Summer Dress. Cory Gal has stepped up a gear lately so looks the pick of the remainder.

23.29: Donji is having a 66th career start but returned to winning ways here in March. Fellow veteran Til the End has been lightly raced by comparison but is due a change of luck having been short of room again last time on his first outing for new connections. Keep Quiet was keeping good company at Fair Grounds earlier in the year and little separated Robintakincharge and King Orb in a tight finish here last month. BOURBON IN MAY is taking a big drop in class and has already finished second twice around here this year. He has the outside stall but his class should see him home, though Todd Pletcher’s colt is likely to start at prohibitive odds.
