Free racing tips: Man On The Spot previews every race from Fonner Park, Nebraska

Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Monday's meeting at Fonner Park in Nebraska, North America.

4.00

This is such a poor maiden that it would be no surprise to see David Anderson’s Cougar Cat newcomer Platte Girl play a leading role. Baker Township has a better draw today but was behind Sweet Cowgirl here last time and P R GOLD MONEY in the run before that. Just the one place behind subsequent winners over this trip prior to finding 6f a shade too far last time, this looks a good opportunity for Chris Fackler’s mount to finally break his duck.

4.27

Taylor’s Beauty has placed the last twice but didn’t really threaten the winner on either occasion, though she probably holds Feels Right on the form book. The former was behind AUNT GAYLE when Gilbert Ecoffey’s mare ran Mango’s Muse close here at the start of the month with Road Show in behind. The rail runner has the speed to take advantage of her draw in a race like this.

4.54

Goodness Cat got a bit closer to TICKER (NAP) over this trip last time than she had on her debut over 4f but she still might struggle to reverse running with Mike Sorensen’s filly from her outside draw. The latter is improving with experience and it will be disappointing if she can’t put this bunch to the sword. Goveness Sheila already looks thoroughly exposed and La Danta has yet to show much either. Itybityquickasakity has disappointed overall but did run a bit better after a break recently and shouldn’t be ignored.

5.21

Fearless Kitty was third over the trip last month but pulled up at the start of the month and has two ways of running. Dialed made a winning return to action but appeared to sulk when not able to lead last time. However, he beat Perfect Line a neck last month and the latter never looked like being caught here a week ago. MY PERFECT GRAYDAR also got the better of Kelli Martinez’ gelding at the start of the month and can probably be forgiven his latest run when he used up a lot of energy in getting to the front.

5.48

XAVIER DAVEY hasn’t been quite at his best so far this term but still had Fantastic Warrior behind over 4f last month. He would be hard to beat if recapturing the form he was showing last year at Grants Pass. Third twice here already this month, including once over this trip, I’m A Rock looks a big danger while I Call Shotgun appeared to appreciate a drop in grade last time. Frankalee Fun won at Remington Park back in December but is probably better over a bit further.

6.15

Silver’s Swan Song hasn’t sparkled in two runs since the turn of the year and was behind Foxy Twist and A Kiss Goodnight last time. She also had a rear view of the returning MONGOL CALL when Grady Thompson’s mare recorded an eighth career victory back here a month ago. That form has been franked and she looks the one to beat again. Stalker found only one too good again eased in grade and back over this trip last time and will be fancied to be in the firing-line again.

6.42

Shady Lane has won three of her last four so won’t go down without a fight. She is preferred to stable companion Ryrysweetie but is no certainty to beat another in-form mare in JAGGED ARROW. Armando Martinez rides this track better than most and his mount never seems to run a bad race, though all of her recent form has been over shorter distances. Kinley Cash had decent form at Delta Downs last year but has switched tracks and is having a first run since January. Classy And Fast looks held by Shady Lane on the form book.

7.09

POINT HOPE has had no luck in-running the last twice and may just edge what looks a competitive affair but there are plenty of others with solid claims. Out Of Patience has to be considered switching from Turf Paradise while Banjo Bill got back to winning ways over this trip last time having finished third behind Dance For Ransom over 6f the time before. Street Ruler could figure if a change of scenery has the desired effect but he has become disappointing.

7.36

Most of these have been around the block a few times but, after back-to-back victories at Delta Downs, Resilience Of Love just failed in his hat-trick bid here over 4f and has hit form with a vengeance. WARRIOR’S LULLABY was just behind Heisayankee over 4f here before scoring over this trip on his second start at the track. He’s been something of a bargain buy having already won five times and may edge out Bandwidth, who never seems to run a bad race but has been doing most of his winning at Turf Paradise in recent times. Dukati accompanies him from that track.
