Saint Roi major gamble on final day of Cheltenham Festival


Saint Roi is a major gamble on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, JP McManus' charge 5/1 from 14s for the Randox Health County Hurdle.

1.30 JCB Triumph Hurdle

Goshen is currently favourite and the best-backed of those towards the head of the market. Aspire Tower (7s from 8s) has attracted early money too.

2.10 Randox Health County Handicap Hurdle

A real gamble taking place on Saint Roi who is 5/1 from 14/1 to continue to JP McManus' fantastic week. Gordon Elliott's Thatsy is popular too at 12/1 (was 16s) but Adjali is proving easy to back.

2.50 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle

We now have joint-favourites at 9/2 with Thyme Hill very strong and Latest Exhibition drifting out from 7/2. Fury Road (7s from 10s) is popular each-way.

3.30 Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup

The early morning money is for last year's winner Al Boum Photo (3/1 from 7/2) and Santini (9/2 from 5s). Delta Work proving easy to back at 9/2 and Clan Des Obeaux is out to 6/1 from 11/2.

4.10 St. James's Place Foxhunter Challenge Cup

Willie Mullins' Billaway is very strong here and is 9/2 from 6/1. Minella Rocco still heads the market at 3/1 but Paul Nicholls' Alcala is notably weak, out to 25/1 from 20s.

4.50 Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup

Chosen Mate is the one for money and is 5/1 from 7s for the red-hot Gordon Elliott team. Paloma Blue (10s from 12s) also popular but Greaneteen out to 4/1 (from 9/2).

5.30 Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle

Another McManus favourite - and another well-backed one with Front View 7/2 from 9/2. Escaria Ten is 12s from 16s after getting into the race as a reserve. Column Of Fire and Ilikedwayurthinkin are weak.
