COSMIC CONNECTION - 15:43 Chepstow (ITV1)
A good-looking renewal. The vote goes to COSMIC CONNECTION, who took his tally to 3-4 within the space of a couple of months in the spring and Chris Gordon's rapidly-progressive 5-y-o should have no issues with this longer trip. He can take the step up in class in his stride at the expense of Lord Byron, who was narrowly denied at Grade 1 level in Ireland and arrives fit from a spin on the Flat. Stable-switcher North Shore can get the better of La Cote Fleurie for third.
ROGUE PASSION - 14:57 Newmarket (ITV1)
The form of ROGUE PASSION's Prix d'Aumale success at Longchamp was massively franked on Arc day. She reeled in Sunday's Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère winner Amusingly, with Prix Marcel Boussac runner-up Data almost 4 lengths behind in third. Consequently, Edward Bethell's filly looks the value call over the unbeaten Musical Times, who is already good enough to win most renewals after her romp in the May Hill.
GASPACHO - 14:40 York (ITV1)
A competitive handicap in which GASPACHO is fancied to step up on her belated return, William Haggas' filly very much bred to be at her best over this sort of trip. Similar comments apply to handicap newcomer Harper Violet, with Ed Bethell's Catterick winner Prince of Calypso also respected under a penalty.
LITTLE GINGER - 15:58 Downpatrick
LITTLE GINGER is going the right way and can open his hurdles account at the third attempt. Young Doran is most likely to follow him home.
TAJAC - 17:25 Dundalk
Those with experience set no more than a fair standard so this could be prime for a newcomer. TAJAC makes appeal on paper starting out for a very shrewd stable and could be the way to go before market clues. Final Ascent is another appealing newcomer who cost plenty and is worthy of note. Thumama Glory, Tio Joao and The Pipeman are a trio of others to consider.
NEWS - 17:45 Kempton
NEWS looked potentially useful when bolting up first time out at Southwell last month and with improvement on the cards, George Boughey's filly gets the verdict to defy a penalty. Lily Pink got back on track last time, but she may have to settle for a third silver medal from 4 outings, while Watch Party is also respected with this step up to 1m expected to suit. Of the newcomers, Red Curry makes most appeal before the benefit of market clues.
