BETTRENDS SELECTION: STOLEN SILVER
Nigel Twiston-Davies has won three of the past six renewals with a lightly-raced novice and STOLEN SILVER has the ideal profile for Saturday’s Betfair Hurdle. A winner in Grade 2 company last time out, he finds himself worse off at the weights with Thebannerkingrebel (who is greatly respected, but is a shade older than ideal being seven) but this stiffer track should suit, as will the likely strong pace. Any further rain would enhance his claims further and a big run looks on the cards. Ecco would be another to note at much bigger odds, although he is a second-season novice and the previous eight novice winners were all in their first season over hurdles.
