1710 📈 TABLE MOVERS

Let's see how the leagues look now. Get the full league tables here.

Premier League

Manchester City are two points clear of Liverpool, who take on Everton tomorrow. Manchester United move to fourth, just three points off third place Spurs - who would have thought that a few month ago!!

Huddersfield remain bottom on 14 points after another loss, Brighton, who beat them today are now five points above the relegation zone.

Southampton, so unlucky not to get anything at Old Trafford are a place and two points above the bottom three.

Sky Bet Championship

Norwich City go back to the top on 69 points. After Leeds' huge win over WBA they are second on 67. Sheffield United will now have to win on Monday in order to get back into second.

Bristol City are three points in the play offs after their point and Derby's hammering at Villa. Forest's defeat leaves them four off the pace.

Huge result for Rotherham at the bottom, however they remain third bottom on 33 points, as Reading scored in injury time to win too. Millwall are just a point out of it after their loss to Norwich.

Sky Bet League One

The top three - Luton, Barnsley and Sunderland all won - so no change in order. Managerless Bradford City are now six points from safety after their hammering. Bristol Rovers got a big win and are two from safety now

Sky Bet League Two

The top four - Lincoln, Bury, Mansfield and MK Dons - were all victorious, so it's still very close up there. Notts County are still bottom and five from safety. Macclesfield are four from third bottom Port Vale.

1700 🕵 PREMIER LEAGUE TIP

In the 5.30 kick off West Ham host Newcastle and here's our tip.

Paul Higham is going for West Ham to draw with Newcastle at 5/2

There are a plethora of draws in Newcastle's away form and although West Ham have only had three at home this season they've had two in their last four games (one home, one away) and just one win in their last six league games shows their form isn't the best.

We have a winner: Success in our latest Premier League tips

At 1-0 down we tipped Manchester United to beat Southampton, as they'd comeback from behind to beat the Saints eight times previously - a Premier League record. That game in, despite being made to sweat for it, at 13/8 at the time.

1636 🔴 RED CARD

Wheater has now been sent off for Bolton, following Noone in for an early shower. Surely Bolton cannot hold on for 17 minutes with NINE men! Remember Swansea have missed a pen too.

Luton have just taken the lead against Rochdale. History tells us when they score one they normally score more, so backing them to get the second goal at 5/6 looks a shout

Portsmouth are 4-1 up against Bradford and they way City are going they could still let in more, as they appear to lack fight. Portsmouth to score the sixth goal is 7/4

1620 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Rotherham 2-1 Blackburn

Ryan Williams gives Rotherham the lead again, how big could this goal be in the fight to stay up?

Hull 2-0 Birmingham

We have a winner: Success in our latest Premier League tips
We have a winner: Success in our latest Premier League tips

Pre-match we called Lukaku to score anytime at 11/8 as he had such a good record against the Saints.

1617 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Manchester United 2-1 Southampton

Lukaku strikes on 59 minutes to complete the comeback. That's three goals in two games now for the Belgium international, after failing to score in the previous nine.

We have a winner: Success in our latest Premier League tips
We have a winner: Success in our latest Premier League tips

One of George Pitts' pre match Premier League tips was Palace's Michy Batshuayi to score anytime v Burnley at 11/4. Well done pal

1605 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Burnley 0-2 Crystal Palace

Batshuayi scores two minutes into the second half

1601 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

A few here for you....

As you've seen below, Aguero is 11/4 to score the first goal at Bournemouth, but if you want to play safer he is 5/4 to score anytime and he's had two shots in the game so far, with Manchester City having 78% possession and six shots in total. Surely it is only a matter of time despite a good display from the home side

There's only been two yellow cards in the Wolves v Cardiff game, going to Bennett and Bamba. However Bennett made another bad foul right on half time and was very lucky to stay on the field.

So this one is a bit of a shout I admit, but a red card to be shown in Wolves v Cardiff is 9/2

1451 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE - Wolves v Cardiff

Both of these sides lost in mid-week, and Wolves are big favourites to get back to winning ways. But just remember Wolves have lost five of their last seven league games against Cardiff, including in Wales earlier this season.

Cardiff have conceded at least three goals in 11 different matches this season, but we know they can score too, with the Everton defeat in mid-week the first time they’ve not scored in five games.

Therefore, we suggest Wolves to win and both teams to score at 11/4

1441 📊 STAT TIME - Burnley v Palace

There are a number of Premier League games today that really feel they could go either way and this is one of them and the stats, don’t really help find a winner. What do you think?

  • Burnley are unbeaten in four Premier League games at Turf Moor; winning three and drawing one. All three wins in this run have come against London clubs: West Ham United, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.
  • Crystal Palace have won a league-high share 56.7% of their Premier League points away from home this season (17/30)
  • Crystal Palace have won just one of their last 10 away league visits to Turf Moor against Burnley (W1 D4 L5), a 3-2 win in January 2015.

⌛️ FULL TIME

Southend 0-3 Barnsley

Barnsley have made it 15 unbeaten in Sky Bet League One thanks to goals from McGeehan, Woodrow and Green. Even more impressive is they were down to 10 men from the 35th minute when Brown saw red.

Barnsley are ow two off leaders Luton, who have a game in hand, and five ahead of third place Sunderland, who have top games in hand

1436 📊 STAT TIME - Man Utd v Southampton

Southampton have a surprising good record against Manchester United, especially since Sir Alex’s retirement. Despite that you'd expect a United victory this afternoon

  • Manchester United have won just one of their five home Premier League games against Southampton since Sir Alex Ferguson retired (W1 D2 L2) – under Ferguson, they won 13 out of 14 against the Saints at Old Trafford (D1).
  • Southampton have drawn their last two league matches against Man Utd; they haven’t avoided defeat in three consecutively against them since May 1989 (five games)
  • Southampton have won just one of their last 33 Premier League games against ‘big six’ opponents (D9 L23), beating Arsenal 3-2 in December.

1434 📊 STAT TIME - Wolves v Cardiff

Two sides looking to get back to winning ways after mid-week defeats. Both promoted from the Sky Bet Championship last season, Wolves are already safe, while Cardiff need to get out of the relegation zone.

  • Wolves have lost five of their last seven league matches against Cardiff (W2), losing the reverse fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium in November.
  • Cardiff City, 2-1 winners at Molineux in August 2017, are looking to win consecutive away league matches against Wolves for the first time since February 1988.
  • Cardiff City have registered a pass accuracy of just 64.2% this season, the lowest tally by a Premier League team in a season since Stoke City in 2010-11 (64%)
  • Nuno Espirito Santo’s first defeat as Wolves boss was against Cardiff City – the Bluebirds are one of only two teams he has lost more than once against as Wolves boss, along with Huddersfield Town

1432 🕵 EFL TIPS

We've given you our Premier League tips and now we have the team news in we will give some in play advice shortly, but first, here are today's EF tips from Tom Carduff..

Sean Maguire to score anytime in Preston v Bristol City at 13/5

A strong January window has played a part in North End rising up the table. They've been transformed from relegation candidates to promotion outsiders under Alex Neil in recent weeks and are one of the division's form sides.

A stand-out player in that side is Sean Maguire. The forward has seen a limited amount of playing time through injury this season but has played a significant part during their upturn in results.

Maguire has contributed two goals in Preston's last two wins, while also having an assist in each of their two wins before that.

What is of interest is how those two goals came when he was moved to a striker role, as opposed to playing out on the wing. He's played there in their last four games and that should continue with the side winning.

Blackpool to beat Bristol Rovers at 11/5

Finally, after years on a downward spiral, there's a real feel of optimism around Blackpool Football Club.

A change in ownership, alongside the club overturning any previous bans from Bloomfield Road signals that the club are looking to finally unite the fan base as they aim to climb back up the football hierarchy.

On the pitch, despite everything happening off it, Terry McPhillips is surely a contender for Manager of the Season as he keeps the Seasiders within touching distance of the play-offs.

Considering Gary Bowyer departed after one game and he was expected to come in and steady the ship, his achievements this season stand-out regardless of whether or not they make the top-six.

They travel to Bristol Rovers this weekend. Blackpool were beaten by Oxford last time out, but they managed to pick up points against Charlton and Sunderland in the weeks before.

McPhillips' side also managed to secure away wins at Coventry and Portsmouth in January, that sees them boast an away record that sits in the division's top-nine.

A price of 4/1 is available on an away win to nil, but we're going to go with the safety net of just a Blackpool win at a tempting price of 11/5. This game signals the start of a new era at the club, and one they will want to grab all three points on offer.

1430 ⚽️ SPORTING LIFE ACCA

Ok, now lets switch to the 1500 games in the Premier League and Sky Bet EFL.

Here is out Sporting Life EFL ACCA for today...

We are backing Brentford, Blackpool, Grimsby and Morecambe all to win at 40/1 with Sky Bet

(video no longer available)

Brentford (to beat QPR)

Brentford have seen an upturn in results following a poor November and December. They sit 16th in the Sky Bet Championship standings but have the fourth-best home record. The Bees have won their last four at home and take on a QPR side who have lost their last four away.

Blackpool (to beat Bristol Rovers)

Both sides have identical form in recent weeks but events off-the-pitch should, for once, give Blackpool a lift on it. A change in ownership signals a new dawn for the club and they'll be looking to mark it with victory. A win could also move them to within three points of the play-offs.

Grimsby (to beat Cambridge)

Grimsby are one of Sky Bet League Two's form sides and should be full of confidence as they host a struggling Cambridge side. The home side are unbeaten in their last five, four of which have been victories, while Cambridge have lost nine of their last ten away games in all competitions.

Morecambe (to beat Yeovil)

A huge six-pointer at the bottom of the League Two table. Yeovil snapped a six-game losing run with a 1-0 victory over Cambridge last time out, but Morecambe's away form gives them the advantage here. The Shrimps are unbeaten in their last five on the road, winning the last two.

What a finish, a dodgy penalty, which is then missed. Then a sending off in the last minute.

Spurs dominated the game in terms of possession but Arsenal created the most dangerous chances and were more cutting in the final third. Both teams could feel they could have won it but both know they could have lost it.

Unai Emery team selection was questioned but his tactics were spot on and they should have won it in the end but the missed pen costs them three points.

This is Tottenham's first draw of the Premier League season

📰 TEAM NEWS - Wolves v Cardiff

Nuno Espírito Santo has reacted to losing to Huddersfield in mid-week by making five changes for this one. Goalkeeper John Ruddy makes his first league start in nearly three years, while Adama Traore, Romain Saiss, Ruben Vinagre and Morgan Gibbs-White also come into the team.

Cardiff's Neil Warnock makes four changes. Victor Camarasa and Joe Ralls both start after recovering from injury and Oumar Niasse returns after being ineligible to face his parent club in midweek.

📰 TEAM NEWS - Burnley v Crystal Palace

Ashley Westwood the only change for Burnley, as Johann Berg Gudmundsson drops to the bench.

Multiple changes from Roy Hodgson after Crystal Palace’s midweek defeat to Man United, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka back from injury, Mamadou Sakho misses out after a knee injury returned. Max Meyer, Wayne Hennessey and Scott Dann also given the nod as our goalscorer tip Michy Batshuayi starts.

89' Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal

Penalty SAVED!

Aubameyang fires to the left corner, but it is poor, too close to the keeper and not enough power on it and Lloirs saves.

Danger not cleared though as the ball is pushed to his right and the ball is fired back across the six yard box and Aubameyang is denied a tap in by a great last ditch Vertonghen tacjles

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang draws a foul in the penalty area. There doesn't look like any contact at all, but it is given!

That's our second success of the day, as we called Kane to score the second goal of the game at 10/3

74' 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal - Kane penalty

Kane scores his sixth penalty in a row and is ninth goal in nine games against Arsenal as he sends Leno the wrong way as he puts it into the bottom right corner.

73' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Penalty to Tottenham.

Free kick is played into the box and Shkodran Mustafi smashes into Kane as they both go to try and head the ball. Is it a silly challenge and no argument for the foul, which is shown a yellow card for.

However, Kane is ever so slightly offside when the free kick is played in.

71' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Another sub for Arsenal as Mesut Özil replaces the goal scorer Aaron Ramsey. That's his last moment in a north London derby ahead of his move to Italy.

🎆 BETTING SUCCESS

We have a winner: Success in our latest Premier League tips

We advised Danny Rose to be yellow carded at 4/1!

68' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Danny Rose is BOOKED - we told you that would happen!

To be fair to him it's a bit harsh. The ball is bouncing in the box and he tries to poke the ball home as Leno comes out to block. He makes contact with Leno's chest rather than the ball. It looks painful for the keeper but was an accident.

🕵 PREMIER LEAGUE TIPS

The team news for the 30-m games will be in shortly, so here are our final preview tips from George Pitts...

Palace's Michy Batshuayi to score anytime v Burnley at 11/4

Wilfried Zaha has been firing again, Michi Batshuayi is off the mark and the south Londoners have found their flow, so the 7/4 available on them to win looks a good price, chucking in over 1.5 total goals into the equation to get it above 2/1.

A preferred option to back though is a goalscorer at nearly 3/1, a price that looks generous considering the dangers we know Belgian forward Batshuayi possesses.

He scored his first Palace goal in that win at Leicester, his full Premier League debut for the club, and is likely to be central in a dangerous front three consisting of himself, Zaha and Andros Townsend.

Granted, his goal was slightly lucky after James McArthur's shot, but that's what you need to get off the mark. The Chelsea loanee has had 12 shots in his four appearances in a Palace shirt, two of them as a substitute, and he can add to his tally here.

Highest scoring half in Wolves v Cardiff - second at 29/25

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have not won in their last three Premier League outings, but coming up against a struggling Cardiff could provide them with a great opportunity to bounce back as they look to stay top of the pack outside the top six.

Cardiff have conceded an astonishing eight goals in their last two games and Neil Warnock will be keen to keep things tight at the back to start off with, as his side sit in the bottom three.

The preference is to avoid the result here and to go with the highest scoring half. The Bluebirds have conceded 32, scoring 18, in the second half of Premier League games this term, while Wolves have a positive record with 26 of their 35 goals coming after the interval.

At above 11/10 to see more goals in the second half, you have a nicely priced bet without having to worry about the full-time result and with Cardiff keen to make life hard for their opponents earlier on, it makes plenty of appeal.

65' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Lamela has added some needed energy and direction for Tottenham since coming on and now fires a good shot from 30 yards out just wide. Leno always had it covered though.

🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

It's not been a dirty game, with the first yellow only just going to Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Then it is followed by Spurs sub Lamela going into the book minutes later.

Tottenham are becoming frustrated and slightly panicked, which history tells us means yellow cards for them. We back Rose at 4/1 and Sissoko at 7/2 to go into the book and both have recently committed poor fouls.

61' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Sub for the home side...Erik Lamela is on for Victor Wanyama.

60' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Ref Mr Taylor is letting this game be physical without it getting silly. Some strong shoulder to shoulder challenges are being let go, much to the shock of the wronged player on each occasion. But it means the game is flowing nicely, which helps especially when Spurs are being slow with the ball.

IN LEAGUE ONE

Southend 0-1 Barnsley

10 men Barnsley lead 1-0 in the second half at Southend, as McGeehan scores the opening goal for the inform Yorkshire side, who are looking to move to 15 games unbeaten. Southend have been ragged and poor despite the man advantage.

55' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Now Tottenham should have scored. A free kick from the left deflects off an an Arsenal head and falls to Alderweireld at the back post. But he blasts his shot wide, hitting the side netting when he knocks it should have been in the top corner.

53' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Oh dear, Arsenal should be 2-0 up now.

When they have the ball they are so much more cutting than Spurs and it showed again here.

A well-worked move ends with Monreal cutting a great ball back from the byline, but Lacazette somehow slices wide from seven yards. That's two presentable chances he's now let slip.

49' Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Tottenham pushing again. Kane plays a great ball out to the right as they look to stretch Arsenal. But Trippier's cross is far too power, quick and high and misses the four white shirts in the box. A real waste.

Slow start to the second half, so lets quick get another Premier League 3pm tip from George Pitts...

Double chance - Huddersfield/draw v Brighton at 13/12

Huddersfield secured a first win under Jan Siewart's management on Tuesday to give them a fighting chance of avoiding the Premier League drop.

Performances have not necessarily been an issue for the Terriers this season, they have just been missing a clinical finisher in the final third, with just 15 goals in 28 Premier League games. That's 10 less than the next worst.

But they can take plenty of confidence from that match when they travel to the Amex to face a Brighton side with just one win in their last nine in all competitions.

Town can use that spring in their step to return to West Yorkshire with at least a point - and the odds-against price available on them in a double chance is too good to miss.

Brighton have been far too inconsistent since the start of December and Huddersfield can take advantage of that by scraping a low-scoring victory.

46' SECOND HALF BEGINS

And we begin with an Arsenal sub....Lucas Torreira ON, Matteo Guendouzi OFF

Arsenal’s leading goalscorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also stepped up his warm-up.

🕵 PREMIER LEAGUE TIPS

During the break at Wembley, lets start to take a look at the Sporting Life football team's stand out tips for the 3pm games. We will have our Sky Bet EFL one's later too.

Our Tipster George Pitts has gone for

Man City to be leading at Bournemouth after 30 minutes at 23/20

The Sky Blues are quick starters and they have scored an impressive 27 of their 75 Premier League goals in the opening half hour, conceding just four. The likes of Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal have all scored against Eddie Howe's side recently in the same time bracket.

Therefore, the 23/20 on offer for City to be leading at this stage of the game looks excellent value.

📊 STATS

Possession: Spurs 69% v 31% Arsenal

Corners: Spurs 3 v 1 Arsenal

Shots on Target: Spurs 2 v 3 Arsenal

Shots off Target: Spurs 4 v 1 Arsenal

Fouls: Spurs 1 v 4 Arsenal

⏳ HALF TIME

Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

The game stopped at the wrong time, as had just become really open, with chances for both sides in injury time. Tottenham have dominated possession but been slow and indecisive with it.

Arsenal are looked strong and direct when they've had the ball and they have been very organised in defence to limit Spurs to only those two injury time shots on target.

You sense more goals in the second half.

43" Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

It's all happening how as Tottenham are denied by a double save from Leno.

First Kane chips the ball over a flat footed Arsenal defence to play in Eriksen, who volleys the ball towards goal and Leno saves with his legs. The ball falls to Sissoko and he fires a hard shot at goal, it looks in but somehow, Leno, while still on his knees gets a strong hand to it to divert it over, it's an astonishing save.

42" Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal go straight down the other end and Iwobi fires in a fine shot to the top corner, but it is a good height for Lloris and he tips it away

41" Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Great defending from Arsenal. Ball played across the six yard box in that dangerous area and Kane looked certain for the tap in at the back post. But a great sliding interception from Koscielny stops a certain goal

39" Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal already slowing it down, with Leno taking his time with his goal kicks, which the home fans are starting to notice at Wembley and calling for a card already. That won't happen at this stage.

IN LEAGUE ONE

The early kick off in Sky Bet League One is Southend at home to promotion chasing and inform Barnsley. However the game has just got harder for the visitors as Jacob Brown has been shown a straight red for a shocking challenge. It's 0-0 and Barnsley had been dominating until this point.

35" 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

Kane has a goal disallowed already and he is starting to find more space as Spurs try to get back into this one.

He is 10/3 with Sky Bet to get the second goal of the game, and 2/1 to have one or more shots on target before half time (with 10 mins left as we write), which is something we are keen on

30" Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

It has been all Tottenham since the goal, but apart from the offside goal they've not threatened the Arsenal goal.

They are getting a lot of the ball down the right to Trippier but then not getting the ball into the box enough.

Everything is just a bit off for Spurs so far and a big example of it there...

Spurs break and Rose is screaming for it down the left in space and Arsenal are stretched. However the ball played too him is far too wide of him and he does well to race into the corner and keep it in play, but that's given time for Arsenal to get back and fill their box. Spurs are then slow to craft anything and Eriksen eventually has a tame shot wide

23: NO GOAL

Tottenham have an equaliser through Harry Kane!

No wait, it is offside - Arsenal still 1-0 up.

It is a great free kick from Christian Eriksen from right to left and an excellent bullet header from the England Captain, but he had stepped offside and the goal is ruled out

15: 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal - Ramsey

Where did the Spurs defence go - literally. Arsenal just hoof the ball forward from their own box. Sanchez tries to head it down to control it on half way but messes up, the free ball is poked forward and Ramsey races on to it from 40 out.

Still plenty to do as he races in on goal and keeps his cool to round Lloris and slot home despite the desperate slide tackle of Victor Wanyama.

It is a superb finish from the Wales international, but shocking defending from the home side

12" Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

Tense game so far and thus no more chances created. Tottenham are dominating possession but all in their own half and nothing of danger near the Arsenal box.

When the Gunners have the ball they have it on the edge of the Spur's box but rather than shooting are trying to play through balls, which are easily picked off.

🚨 SOCCER SATURDAY PRICE BOOST

What another great day ahead and before the 3pm action gets underway Sky Bet have Price Booted:

  • Man City, Man Utd and Norwich all to win is 9/2
  • Man City, Man Utd to both win and Norwich to draw with Millwall is 7/1

8" Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

After that early scare Tottenham are now settling down and controlling possession. Calmly building from the back and trying to get down both wings. But yet to create a chance

2": EARLY CHANCE

What a chance for Alexandre Lacazette. The ball is chipped into the box and Lacazette find himself with space on the left edge of the six yard box. The ball is falling over his body and it means he fails to fully connect with his left footed shot and drags it across goal. That was a chance.
