Grand Slam of Darts: Day four predictions, odds, betting tips, order of play & TV start time

The group stage concludes at the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton tonight so here's the full order of play, predictions, Sky Bet odds and suggested accumulator.

It's the third and final round of matches for Groups A to D in the Grand Slam of Darts, with the likes of Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, Daryl Gurney and Rob Cross hoping to join the already-qualified Michael van Gerwen in the knockout stages.

Mark Webster (1/1) v Danny Noppert (4/5) (Group D)
Danny Noppert found both Daryl Gurney and Darren Webster in exceptional finishing form, which is the primary reason why he's only won three legs so far. He deserved better than that and he might just get it against Mark Webster, even though it's the latter who has the better chances of qualifying.
Prediction: 3-5
Daryl Gurney (4/11) v Darren Webster (11/5) (Group D)
I reckon the odds are worth taking on Darren Webster causing a mini upset although it's highly unlikely to knock Daryl Gurney out given his leg difference advantage. The Demolition Man was superb on his doubles on Sunday night, missing just once to keep his tournament alive, while he has a solid record against Gurney, beating him 6-1 to win a Players Championship title earlier this season.
Prediction: 3-5
Michael van Gerwen (1/33) v Joe Murnan (11/1) (Group A)
Having backed Rob Cross to win the group, I now need Joe Murnan to pull off an '11/1 miracle' for me! Not that I expect it to happen of course - I'm still ruing Cross spurning a golden opportunity to beat MVG on Sunday.
Prediction: 5-1
Rob Cross (1/5) v Ross Montgomery (7/2) (Group A)
As mentioned above, my hopes of Cross topping this group were agonisingly ended by his 5-4 defeat to MVG in which he missed two match darts but he's clearly the class act in this clash and will progress alongside the Dutchman.
Prediction: 5-2
Robbie Green (8/15) v Peter Machin (6/4) (Group C)
Kong only needed an average of 88 to thrash badly out-of-sorts James Wade on Saturday but he played out of his skin to come within a whisker of beating Phil Taylor on Sunday night. Peter Machin of the BDO, by contrast, has been walloped 5-1 against both opponents. That said he won't be quite so daunted by Green and having nothing to play for will take pressure off. It'll be closer than logic suggests.
Prediction: 4-5
Phil Taylor (1/3) v James Wade (23/10) (Group C)
Obviously this is one of the few tournaments the Power has targeted and really wants it but that didn't stop him being poor on his doubles against Green and nearly lose. James Wade is struggling for consistency but in a race to five legs, which he desperately needs to win, I reckon he's worth a small flutter in a close contest. His 5-1 win over Machin will have restored some confidence while he also has the motivation that an early exit here could scupper his fading hopes of a Premier League return next year.
Prediction: 4-5
Gerwyn Price (4/11) v Jamie Hughes (11/5) (Group B)
Gerwyn Price has averaged over 100 in both his games so far, while the BDO's Jamie Hughes has been pretty poor to say the least during two heavy defeats. A shame considering how he thrilled his home crowd to top a group against the odds last year. This contest is only going one way.
Prediction: 5-2
Steve Lennon (13/5) v Raymond van Barneveld (2/7) (Group B)
I've previously mentioned how highly I rate Steve Lennon in my pre-tournament preview and day two tips but he now needs to produce the form he showed in a 5-0 win over Hughes, in which he averaged 100 and hit five of his nine double attempts, to stand a chance against Barney. The Dutch veteran produced a stirring comeback to defeat Gerwyn Price with a 13-darter in the deciding leg to make it two from two but he has harked back to his previous experiences of bowing out with four points so maybe that could play on his mind if it comes to the crunch.
