Grand Slam of Darts: Glen Durrant among eight BDO players to compete in the PDC major


Two-time BDO world champion Glen Durrant has been named among his organisation's eight representatives to compete at the PDC's Grand Slam of Darts.

Durrant, who triumphed at the Lakeside in 2016 and 2017 as well as winning this year's BDO World Trophy, has twice reached the knockout stages of the Grand Slam of Darts in his two previous appearances in Wolverhampton and will once again be his organisation's best chance of glory.

Also trying to emulate the BDO's only previous winner of this prestigious title - Scott Waites - will be Scott Michell, Mark McGeeney, Wesley Harms, Adam Smith-Neale, Jim Williams, Gary Robson and Michael Unterbuchner.

There will be 24 PDC players competing in the event although there qualification period is still running. You can scroll down for full details of who have already sealed their spots and who are still in the thick of the race.

The £450,000 tournament will be held from November 10-18 at the Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, with the first round seeing the 32 players split into eight groups, with the top two in each following the round robin phase progressing to the knockout last 16 onwards.

This list can produce a maximum of 28 players. If it produces more than 16 players, they shall be taken in order as listed above and no further players shall qualify automatically.

Players shall be separated within the reserve list first by the number of Events in each category they have won and then by their position in the PDC main Order of Merit on the cut-off date.
