WTA Tour: Francesca Schiavone triumphs in Bogota

The 2010 French Open champion, who is playing her final season before retirement, claimed a 600th career match win which also boosts her hopes of earning a main draw spot at Roland Garros.

"I'm very happy and emotional," said Schiavone.

"This was a disaster match, but winning was the most important thing. Lara is improving a lot.

"I think she pulled a muscle and couldn't run as well that she could, but I thank God that I could win the last three games."
