ATP Tour: Lucas Pouille to play Karen Khachanov in Open 13 Provence final

Home favourite Lucas Pouille will play Karen Khachanov in Sunday's Open 13 Provence final in Marseille after beating qualifier Ilya Ivashka.

Third-seed Pouille, world number 16, held his nerve in a close-fought second-set tie-break against the Belarusian to win his semi-final 6-3 7-6 (8/6) in one hour and 25 minutes.

The 24-year-old is bidding to become the eighth French winner of the tournament in 13 years.

Khachanov, 21, had earlier upset fourth-seed Tomas Berdych in straight sets, 6-3 6-2, to reach his second ATP World Tour final.

The 21-year-old Russian has maintained top form throughout the tournament, breaking Czech number one Berdych twice in the opening set and three times in the second.

At the Rio Open, Fernando Verdasco will face Diego Schwartzman after seeing off Fabio Fognini 6-1 7-5 in the semi-final, while the Argentine beat Nicolas Jarry 7-5 6-2.

Meanwhile in Florida, the Delray Beach Open final will see wildcard Frances Tiafoe play Germany's Peter Gojowczyk.

Wildcard Tiafoe beat Denis Shapovalov 7-5 6-4, while Gojowczyk got the better of Steve Johnson 7-6 (7/3) 6-3.
